• [Jan 23] Following the official 10 Best Picture nominations reveal, Oppenheimer became a heavy -800 favorite to win the award.
• [Sep 25] Barbie (+1600) and The Holdovers (+2500) have both received Best Picture odds as buzz builds around potential challengers to Oppenheimer.
• [July 21] Oppenheimer has regained the top spot in the Best Picture odds after opening nationally to glowing reviews. Nolan’s film currently sits at 94% on Rotten Tomatoes.
• [July 5] Killers of the Flower Moon (+212) has pulled away from Oppenheimer (+350) in the updated Best Picture odds, while Past Lives has entered the top three at +600.

Best Actor Top Contenders

• [Jan 23] Murphy was looking like a lock for the award until Paul Giamatti won Best Actor at both the Golden Globes (comedy/musical) and the Critics Choice Awards. Oddsmakers have shortened Giamatti’s odds to +175, with Murphy still favored at -250.
• [Sep 25] Coleman Domingo is now getting odds (+500) for his performance in Rustin despite oddsmakers initially projecting the actor would be nominated for The Color Purple.
• [July 21] Following the theatrical release of Oppenheimer, Cillian Murphy became a heavy -125 favorite in the Best Actor odds. Critics are praising the actor’s performance, predicting a Best Actor nomination at minimum.
• [July 5] Leonardo DiCaprio is now the sole betting favorite to win Best Actor with updated odds of +100. Paul Giamatti is being given Best Actor odds (+800) for his performance in The Holdovers.
• [Mar 15]: Joaquin Phoenix and Leonardo DiCaprio have opened as +200 co-favorites to win Best Actor for their respective performances in Beau Is Afraid and Killers of the Flower Moon.

Best Actress Top Contenders

• [Jan 23] After the five Best Actress nominees were revealed, oddsmakers are giving only favorable odds to two actresses: Emma Stone (-150) and Lily Gladstone (+120). Stone has a slight edge after taking home Best Actress at the Critics Choice Awards.
• [Dec 9] Lily Gladstone’s Best Actress odds have shortened to +140 as critics are praising her performance in Killers of the Flower Moon following the national release of the film.
• [July 21] Blunt’s Best Actress odds shortened slightly from +200 to +100 following Oppenheimer’s theatrical release, while Margot Robbie’s odds improved from +325 to +300 following Barbie’s release on the same day.
• [July 5] Fantasia Barrino has pulled even with Emily Blunt as the co-favorite to win Best Actress (+200). Annette Benning is now being offered Best Actress odds at +800 for her performance in Nyad.

• [Jan 23] Oddsmakers have essentially given the Best Director award to Christopher Nolan already, pricing the British filmmaker’s latest odds at -3500 (97% implied chance). The snub of Greta Gerwig in this category shocked many in Las Vegas.
• [July 21] Christopher Nolan has overtaken Martin Scorsese as the favorite in the Best Director odds, as some critics are labeling Oppenheimer as Nolan’s best-ever film. Greta Gerwig, meanwhile, has faded to +500 despite her movie Barbie also receiving critical praise.
• [July 5] Martin Scorsese’s odds have shortened slightly to +150, while Emerald Fennell has entered the top five for his direction of the film Saltburn.
• [Mar 15]: Martin Scorsese has opened as an early +200 favorite to win Best Director for Killers of the Flower Moon, although Christopher Nolan, Bradley Cooper and Greta Gerwig all have odds shorter than +300.
