Will Dustin Johnson (+200) Win a Major in 2019?
Alarmingly Dustin Johnson has just one major title despite 15 top-10’s in the big events. There’s so much scar tissue on him with countless meltdowns in majors and with the lowest odds at +200, the best bet is NO.
Wow, wow, wow….Dustin Johnson with one of the worst beats ever…from potential historic walk off eagle to 3-put meltdown on 18. Yikes!

Will Rory McIlroy (+225) Win a Major in 2019?
Donning a green jacket would make Rory just the sixth man to complete the career grand slam and it seems to be in his head a little with last year’s attempt case in point. Also, the pressure to perform in his backyard at the Open will be immense. He’s won just once in the last two years worldwide so the best bet is NO.

Will Tiger Woods (+250) Win a Major in 2019?
He led the Open Championship on the back nine on Sunday this year and finished second at the PGA. Three of the four major venues he’s won at before (Augusta, Bethpage Black, Pebble Beach) are in play in 2019. 15th major here we come! The best bet is YES!

Will Jordan Spieth (+250) Win a Major in 2019?
It’s a testament to his prodigious talent that three top-12 finishes in last years majors (plus a winless season) counts as a down year. From 2013-17 he finished no worse than 27th in one-putts from 20-25 feet. Last year? Tied for 148th. Aberration or regression to the mean? He’s too talented to struggle for too long but at these odds the best bet is NO.
It was a frustrating season for Jordan Spieth, who narrowly missed qualifying for the Tour Championship.

Will Rickie Fowler (+400) Win a Major in 2019?
This one is so painstakingly difficult to select because wouldn’t a Fowler major triumph be incredible? He’s finished in the top five in eight different majors without breaking through. He’s burned bettors for years with so many close calls. The best bet is NO.
Rickie Fowler was tied for 3rd entering the 3rd round of the PGA Championship
Fowler has 8 Top-5 finishes without a victory at major championships. Only Lee Westwood (11), Harry Cooper (10) and Jay Haas (9) have more in the Masters era. pic.twitter.com/TbuLxQcjCH

Will Jason Day (+475) Win a Major in 2019?
Enough with the negativity! Let’s go with a guy poised to add to his major collection. Day finished T-2 and 3rd at the Masters in 2011 and 2013 and hasn’t been worse than 28th in five years since. Refocused and refreshed last year led him to two victories. Bank on Day slipping into a long overdue Green Jacket. The best bet is YES!

Will Hideki Matsuyama (+800) Win a Major in 2019?
Here is the sweet spot to unlock some tremendous value. Jump on this one right now because now that Matsuyama is healthy this number will likely drop quickly. He’s racked up six top-7 finishes in majors and ended last year with nothing worse than T-15 in his last five tournaments. If he could straighten out a sometimes balky putter, look out. The best bet is YES!
“I think he’ll be a major champion within the next couple years.”

Will Patrick Reed (+800) win a major in 2019?
The Tour’s real life version of Shooter McGavin finally broke through at the Masters. He could be a bull in a china shop with a major chip on his shoulder but expect a slight letdown. This value is tempting but in this case the best bet is NO.
Why am I pulling for Rickie Fowler like crazy and then Rory or anyone BUT Patrick Reed…..Jerk, rude, spoiled, selfish, dishonest, unappreciative, entitled……Gonna be fun day…@ZachKleinWSB @BFinn86 @sportsandra @JustinFarmerWSB @Talkmaster https://t.co/1z02QBYIyX

Will Tony Finau (+1000) Win a Major in 2019?
This is also a huge upside bet to make. His first three majors in 2018 were top 10’s. Remember, Brooks Koepka had only one tour victory before winning his first major at the 2017 US Open – perhaps Finau will follow in his footsteps. The best bet is YES!

Will Phil Mickelson (+1100) Win a Major in 2019?
The initial reaction is NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT. But let’s look deeper – Lefty has won three green jackets, finished second twice in majors at Bethpage Black (both US Opens, but Bethpage Black hosts the PGA this year) and has won four times at Pebble Beach, site of the US Open. That makes a wager on him intriguing but in his late 40’s Phil probably doesn’t have another run in him. The best bet is NO.

Who Will Win Which Major in 2019?
Four names have been selected as the best bets – Tiger, Day, Matsuyama and Finau – let’s take it a step further and pick the exact major they’ll win!
- Jason Day – Masters
- Tony Finau – PGA Championship
- Tiger Woods – US Open
- Hideki Matsuyama – Open Championship
