Phillies vs Cubs Player Prop #1 – Seiya Suzuki Over 1.5 Hits + Runs +RBI

Alright so this one is not plus-money but it is damn close. We’re talking -105 here, people. The thing is, I think it should be at least -125, and that’s being conservative. At the end of the day, all we’re trying to do in this game we play is find value. We have value here.

For starters, just look at what he’s doing to Aaron Nola’s pitch mix.

The Hits + Runs + RBI market is quickly becoming my favorite for offensive bets. Above all else, there is more than one way to get home on these, which is rare in baseball betting. Most markets force a player to have a specific outcome. That makes things difficult given that there are very limited at-bats. That’s not the case with the H+R+RBI market.

In this specific case, Seiya should be hitting third tonight. Obviously we want him to be able to hit the pitch mix he’ll likely see, but we also want the batters in front and behind him to do well against the same mix. We’ve got that with Kyle Tucker and Michael Busch tonight. We could easily get home with hits, runs, or RBIs in this thing. Feels easy.

Phillies vs Cubs Team Prop #2 – Kyle Schwarber Over 1.5 Hits + Runs +RBI

This might be my favorite bet of all time. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a book mess up the way they messed up here. Like, what are we even doing? We’re getting THE Kyle Schwarber at even money to get us just 2+ hits + runs + RBI. Seriously, I think he does this in his first at-bat.

As far as pitch mix goes, all he has to do is bait Jameson Taillon into throwing him a four-seamer.

Just like with Suzuki, the guys around Kyle are going to be important when deciding this thing. We have to be careful with these things when we’re getting down. Human nature wants us just to find guys that smoke a certain pitch mix and bet our houses on them (responsibly). But we can’t get loose like that.

We need to know that if our guy gets on, then he can get knocked in. We also want our guy hitting with ducks on the pond. That is highly likely to be the case tonight with Schwarber since Bryce Harper, Trea Turner and Nick Castellanos all should smoke Taillon. And if they don’t, we always have the Schwarber bomb that could just cash this thing on its own. This is child’s play.
