The New York Knicks barely escaped Game 3 with a win over the Detroit. Now, they try to push them to the brink in Game 4 of their Best-of-7 series. The books have the hometown Pistons as slight favorites in the NBA odds. Game 4 tips off at 1pm ET from Little Caesars Arena in Motown, with ABC carrying the broadcast.

A couple of big men are on the injured list for these teams ahead of Game 4. For New York, Mitchell Robinson is listed as questionable while he’s dealing with an illness.
Detroit big Isaiah Stewart, who missed Game 3 with a knee ailment, is also questionable.
NY Knicks vs DET Pistons Picks
- Knicks vs Pistons pick: Knicks +2 (-108)
After a disappointing Game 2 loss, New York bounced back with a 118-116 win in Game 3 in Detroit to take the series lead.
Karl-Anthony Towns, who had just 10 points in Game 2, bounced back in a big way, scoring a game-high 31 points to go along with eight boards, while drilling four 3-pointers.
New York won the battle inside, outscoring Detroit in points in the paint 46-36.
Most importantly, the Knicks did more than watch Jalen Brunson go 1 vs world, which, while necessary sometimes in the crunch, can’t be the crutch of their offense for stretches of games.
Knicks vs Pistons Series Stats
The Pistons hung in there with their ability to hit the moneyball, drilling 16 of 37 from beyond the arc. They are currently fourth in the playoffs, hitting at a crisp 38.5% clip.
But they’re going to need Cade Cunningham to at least match Brunson, if not outplay him. Playing in his first career playoff series, Cade had 24 points in Game 3, but on an inefficient 10-for-25 from the field.
Detroit has played New York tough all series, and even with these two losses in the series, the Pistons still have wins in four of the last six games, going 4-2-0 against the spread.
That being said, I think the Knicks unlocked their formula for success. Experience should be the determining factor Sunday, as New York puts Detroit on the ledge with another close win.

Knicks vs Pistons prop bet: Towns over 1.5 3-point makes (-115)
Game 3 was the first time KAT has gotten things cooking from 3-point range, but the books aren’t flinching, which leaves a nice gambling open.
Towns shot a crips 42% from 3-point range during the season, so the combined 1-for-5 through the series’ first two games wasn’t much of a concern.
Prior to this series, KAT had hit at least two triples in four of his last five matchups against the Pistons.
I like Towns to connect at least twice in Game 4.
