The second half of Wednesday’s Play-In Tournament doubleheader features the Mavericks vs the Kings. The winner moves on to face Memphis for the right to advance to the first round of the NBA playoff bracket, while the loser goes home. Player prop lines have been listed for a few days, and although most have been bet to some pretty efficient numbers, there are a couple that still stand out as values.

Dallas’ Anthony Davis boasts the highest over/under points prop at 25.5, while Sacramento’s Domantas Sabonis projects for the most rebounds at 13.5. My first bet is in the ladder category, but targeting Sabonis’ teammate Keegan Murray instead.

Mavericks vs Kings Player Prop Target #1: Keegan Murray Over 5.5 Rebounds

The Kings are short on size. That’s a major problem against the Mavericks, who are going to try and deploy the two-big tandem of AD and Dereck Lively II as often as possible. In limited action this season, Dallas has outscored the opposition by 13 points with those two on the floor together.

Sabonis can’t possibly contain them both on the glass by himself, so Murray is going to have to step up in that department.

The 6’8” forward can be extremely active on the boards, especially when he sees a bump in minutes. With no Malik Monk tonight, we should expect Murray’s playing time to be closer to 40 minutes, than to his usual allotment of 30.

That’s great news for his rebounding prospects, and for his over 5.5 rebounds prop. Murray has racked up 6 or more rebounds in 14 of the last 17 games where he’s played at least 35 minutes.

Mavericks vs Kings Player Prop Target #2: P.J. Washington Over 1.5 Threes

At the other end of the floor, no team yields a higher three-point shooting percentage than the Kings. That’s music to Dallas’ P.J. Washington’s ears, who’s fresh off his best month of the season.

Washington averaged 19 points last month, scoring 25+ on three occasions. He scored 28 points against Sacramento in their lone matchup this season, knocking down four of the nine threes he launched.

Mavericks Starting 5 Shooting Stats

PlayerTS%3P%
Spencer Dinwiddie55.333.4
Klay Thompson55.239.1
P.J. Washington55.638.1
Anthony Davis52.023.3
Dereck Lively II70.40.0

Washington’s increased production recently coincides with more three-point volume. He’s averaging more than four three-point attempts per night since the calendar flipped to 2025, knocking them down at a 38% clip.

With so much of the Kings defensive attention focused down low, we can safely project a couple more open looks for Washington. He’s shooting closer to 40% on open threes, but even if he’s defended, the likes of DeMar DeRozan and Zach Lavine aren’t scaring any competent shooter.

I’m betting over 1.5 threes for Washington at -145 odds, but I’m also going to take a sprinkle on his ladders. 3+ threes pays +185, while 4+ threes pays +450.
