  • We’ve got 10 games on the MLB Slate for Monday, April 14
  • With a slate this size, it’s going to be easy to find two bets for a little MLB parlay
  • See below for my +272 MLB parlay for Monday

It’s Monday so you know what that means, betting Major League Baseball. Generally speaking, Mondays offer us a big enough slate to find bangers we can all be proud of. More than half of the league is usually in action which leads to parlays. We were given this world, we didn’t make it. What makes today a little different is, instead of going for the kill shot with the dinger parlay, I’m thinking we warm up these books’ ribs with a little hits + runs + RBI action. That market is very underserved in the gambling community and it’s about time we give it the respect it deserves.

There are so many ways to win, and the price is generally right. If you don’t normally play this market, don’t worry. I went ahead and found two bets that have no chance of missing (probably). Feels easy.

Monday MLB Parlay Leg #1 – Maikel Garcia Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI

Here’s the thing about the Hits + Runs + RBI market. We can find our guys while we’re looking for home-run hitters since we need many of the same qualities in these players. Many times we’ll find guys that are smoking the ball, just without the launch angle to be dinger guys.

One such guy is Maikel Garcia of the Kansas City Royals.

The only thing holding me back from taking Garcia all the time is his place in the batting order. In most games, he was sixth or lower which means he doesn’t have the upside of “extra” at bats. That’s not the case going forward because Maikel just became the Royals’ leadoff hitter the other day. That’s huge.

Batting leadoff for Kansas City means Bobby Witt hits behind you. Basically, all we need Garcia to do is get on base (via hit) and get ready to run. On the off chance that Witt doesn’t knock him in, Vinnie Pasquarntino and Salvatore Perez are behind him. These guys should tee off on Carlos Carrasco tonight. Feels easy.

Monday MLB Parlay Leg #2 – Pete Alonso Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI

I usually like to space out my action to cover the entire night but that strategy isn’t in the cards tonight. The Royals and Yankees get going at 7:05 ET and then the New York Mets and Minnesota Twins start up shortly after at 7:40 ET. There’s a good chance this thing will be cashed by 8:00 but that’s just how it goes sometimes.

We end my night early like the champions we are if it means we get to bet Pete Alonso Over 1.5 H+R+RBI at -110. What are these books thinking?

I have no idea why Pete Alonso is only -110 in this market tonight but it’s not on us to figure that out. I’m guessing someone at DraftKings gets fired for this but sometimes heads have to roll. Pete Alonso has moved into the top-ten in the NL MVP odds and is tied for first in MLB in 100+ mph hits this season. Given that he bats third in the Mets’ lineup, he can’t be -110.

I’m guessing it’s because he’ll see Joe Ryan tonight but that doesn’t really scare me given Ryan’s pitch mix. He had a 9% barrel rate to righties last season which is bad and in the last 30 days, that number has swelled to 15%. He throws his four-seamer all the time and Pete has been smoking that pitch from righties so far this season. I think Pete is going deep tonight but we don’t even need him to. Feels easy.
