  • We’ve got a good one for Sunday Night baseball on Sunday, April 13, 2025
  • The Los Angeles Dodgers will look to redeem themselves after getting embarrassed by the Chicago Cubs last time out

We’re looking at a low-key great game for Sunday Night Baseball so you know that means we need action. At the end of the day, we can’t just be passing up good Sunday Night Baseball games. Plus, not to be a downer, there’s no NBA. It’s done. And by the time the Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers get started, the Masters should be over too. That means besides this game, we’ve got nothing but a couple of hockey games to get loose with. We have to bet this game. Lucky, for us, I’ve got two sweet, sweet angles on this thing. On top of that, we’re using our profit boost from FanDuel so we’re cooking with grease. We’ve turned a slow night into a busy one. Feels right.

The reigning-champion Dodgers are currently the heavy favorites in the 2025 World Series odds, price anywhere from +210 to +250 at various sportsbooks. The Cubs are just inside the top-ten favorites at a range of +2200 to +2500.

Cubs vs Dodgers Player Prop #1 – Nico Hoerner 1+ Stolen Base

We get to do something we never do tonight and that’s bet on a stolen base. The idea seemed kind of foreign to me in the past but I’m thinking we’re ready. All we need to do is find a guy with wheels that we know for a fact is going to get a hit.

That guy for tonight’s game is without a doubt Nico Hoerner.

Here’s the thing, with stolen bases. I think we should get a way better price than what we’re getting. Think about it. Our guy has to get on base first before he can ever steal a base. That’s nasty work. But, teams are stealing more bases these days and the Chicago Cubs actually lead MLB in stolen bases. We’re fishing in the right pond here, especially with a boost.

Cubs vs Dodgers Team Prop #2 – Los Angeles Dodgers Team Total Over 5.5

The Los Angeles Dodgers got smoked by the Chicago Cubs last night. We’re talking a 16-0 beating here people. That’s the kind of game that most good teams take to heart. Especially given that it was right in front of a crowd wearing Dodger Blue.

Luckily for the Dodgers, they have plenty of bats to come back with today including Shohei Ohtani.

This is as much about the beating yesterday as anything else but on top of that, we’ve got a great pitcher to target in Colin Rea. I’m not hating or anything but Rea is going to be making his first start of the season. He’s been good so far but he’s only pitched five innings so that could change.

The reason it could change is because Rea gave up 29 dingers in just 167 innings of work last season with the Milwaukee Brewers. His four-seam fastball is a pimp-job waiting to happen since all but two of the Dodgers starting tonight have a double-digit barrel rate against that pitch this season. My guess is they repay the favor from last night and score a million runs. We only need six. Feels easy.

  • The Bet: Los Angeles Dodgers Team Total Over 5.5 (+112) – FanDuel
