The NFL season hasn’t released its schedule for the 2025 season yet, but that hasn’t stopped online sportsbooks from posting win total odds. We know who will be playing who for 16 of each team’s 17 games, and the division of the opponent for the remaining contest.
Not surprisingly, the teams with the highest win total projections are the top-four favorites to win Super Bowl 60. The Eagles, Chiefs, Bills and Ravens all opened at 11.5 wins. Philly, KC and Baltimore haven’t taken enough action to drastically swing their odds yet, but the same cannot be said for Buffalo.
NFL Win Totals Betting Odds
The Bills NFL win total odds are already heavily juiced to the over at -145. I would love to grab the under in this spot, but the lack of competition inside the division is concerning. On the flip side, no team opened with a lower win total than the Browns. Cleveland’s projection sits at 4.5, although the juice is shaded to the over.

NFL Win Totals Bet #1: Detroit Lions Over 10.5 Wins
The first NFL win totals bet I’m looking to make is over 10.5 wins for the Lions. This is a team that deserves to be in the same tier as the top-four. Detroit matched the Chiefs with a league-high 15 wins last season, despite playing in the toughest conference in the NFL.
The Lions swept fellow playoff teams Minnesota and Green Bay, as well as Chicago. They were the number one scoring offense in the league, and reached 15 wins despite being decimated by injuries on defense. No team lost more man games on defense than Detroit, with key starters going down at every defensive position group. Most notably, they lost Aidan Hutchinson to a season-ending injury; he was on pace to win DPOY.
The defense should be back to full strength come September, and the offense remains the most explosive in the league. Jared Goff was a legit MVP candidate a season ago, and I’m not fazed by both of their co-ordinators leaving.
The Lions replaced Ben Johnson with former offensive assistant John Morton. He was the Broncos’ pass game coordinator under Sean Payton last season, and there’s arguably no one better to study under than him. On the other side of the ball, they elevated Kelvin Sheppard to DC, who’s been with the team for five years.
As for their tough schedule, don’t panic. The Packers didn’t beat a single NFC playoff team last year, while the Vikings are rolling with a first-year quarterback. The Lions are 10-2 versus divisional opponents over the last two years, and also draw the AFC North. That division isn’t nearly as opposing as it once was outside of Baltimore. The Steelers best best-case QB scenario is a washed-up Aaron Rodgers. Cincinnati can’t afford to field a balanced roster after overpaying its wideouts, and Cleveland projects to be the worst team in football.
NFL Win Totals Bet #2: Denver Broncos Over 9.5 Wins
My second favorite NFL win totals bet is over 9.5 victories for the Broncos. Denver reached 10 wins in Bo Nix’s rookie campaign, and the arrow is pointing up on this team. The Broncos finished sixth in total DVOA last season, and feature one of the most complete rosters on both sides of the ball.
Payton had Nix operating the offense like a well-oiled machine by the end of the year, while the defense has studs at the premium positions. Patrick Surtain is the best cover corner in the league, while the pass rush anchored by Nik Bonitto, Jonathon Cooper and Zach Allen, finished second in pressure rate.
Yes, the AFC West is loaded, but the Broncos get a third-place schedule this season, something few other playoff teams can say. They also get to face the AFC South, which is by far the weakest division in football.
