UFC veteran Josh Emmett meets the rising Lerone Murphy in the main event of UFC Fight Night on Saturday, April 5. Featherweights dominate proceedings as Pat Sabatini takes on Joanderson Brito in the co-main event.

Don’t miss the fireworks with my UFC predictions tonight and all the odds for what promises to be an entertaining card.

UFC Predictions Tonight: Emmett vs Murphy

The centerpiece bout of UFC Fight Night pits power puncher Josh Emmett against the surging and undefeated Lerone Murphy. A vet of 14 Octagon scraps, Emmett is a proven knockout threat with some of the heaviest hands in the UFC featherweight division.

The Team Alpha Male scrapper is coming off a nasty overhand right knockout of Bryce Mitchell at UFC 296 back in 2023. At 40 years old and coming off an extended layoff, there are major question marks about whether Emmett can still close the distance and land his patented overhand.

On the other side of the cage, Murphy is riding high. With 19 consecutive victories, Murphy is one of the hottest commodities in the featherweight division, and will be motivated to prove hit mettle against the experience of Emmett.

The Manchester native boasts sharp boxing, to go along with outstanding defensive grappling and a strong fight IQ. His fluid footwork and outstanding distance management will help the 33-year-old to pick apart the aging Emmett from range.

I like Murphy’s ability to dictate the pace of this UFC Fight Night main event. “The Miracle” is a crisp, calculated boxer, and rarely overcommits. The Manchester Top Team product can work his jab and slowly gain Emmett’s gas tank. Unless Emmett finds a home for his nuclear right hand early, I’m betting on Murphy to win, in dominant fashion.

UFC Fight Night Emmett vs Murphy prediction: Lerone Murphy to win by KO +240

UFC Predictions Tonight: Sabatini vs Brito

Saturday’s co-main event between Pat Sabatini and Joanderson Brito offers fans and bettors a classic striker versus grappler dynamic. Sabatini is a human backpack of a wrestler with suffocating top control and sleek submission skills. While Brito loves to press forward and use his explosive striking to beatdown opponents.

The key question in this UFC Fight Night co-main event is whether Sabatini can survive the early onslaught and turn this into a grind. With seven knockout victories, Brito has the power to end this fight early. He’s also finished 15 of his 22 MMA fights. However, if Sabatini can weather the early storm, his unrelenting wrestling can turn the tide of this bout.

Sabatini averages nearly four takedowns per three rounds find, and once if gets a body lock, he’s tough to shake off. “Tubarao’s” takedown defense has held up against most grapplher, but Sabatani is a different beast. Look for the American to eat some early shots before dragging this fight to the ground.

I like the value on the underdog here, especially if Sabatini can survive the first round.

UFC Fight Night Sabatini vs Brito prediction: Pat Sabatini to win (+185)
