  • NASCAR Straight Talk Wireless 400 takes the green flag this Sunday from the Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida.
  • Josh Berry stunned the field last week in Vegas. Could he possibly do it again?
  • Below, see our NASCAR Straight Talk Wireless 400 odds, predictions, and best bets.

The NASCAR Cup Series heads south to the Miami area for the sixth points event this Sunday, March 23rd, with the NASCAR Straight Talk Wireless 400. The green flag drops just after 3:00 pm EDT, with live coverage again on FOX Network.

The 1.5-mile oval intermediate track races fast! The oval itself has 4-degree banking on the straightaways. Also, there are 18-20-degree banks on the turns. Now, this track carries correlation with Darlington because of the ridiculous level of tire wear. If a driver does not manage tires well, stay away from betting that guy.

Let us roll into those NASCAR odds, favorites, and potential best bets, as we make our Straight Talk Wireless 400 predictions.

NASCAR Straight Talk Wireless 400 Predictions

Yes, the weather again expects to present few problems Sunday afternoon. There will be Mostly Cloudy conditions, with temperatures close to 80 degrees. This type of lucky streak is rare with NASCAR. With less sun, the track will not be quite as hot as usual. However, do not expect that to have much impact on the tire wear.

Qualifying keeps throwing some curves in the turns. Josh Berry nearly beat out one of those pesky Hendrick cars. Berry overcame some issues early to qualify second for the race. Alex Bowman took top honors at a speed with a lap time of 31.982 seconds (168.845 mph). William Byron was 5th but Kyle Larson was only 14th.

Simply, several of the top drivers had some subpar results. This lent itself to surprises like Berry (2nd), Noah Gragson (3rd), and John Hunter Nemechek (7th). It will be intriguing to see how those three do as the laps wear on at Homestead-Miami.

Throw the last few years somewhat out the window. Homestead-Miami was used as a Spring race last in 2021. William Byron won that race with Tyler Reddick and Martin Truex Jr. on the podium. Alex Bowman was 9th, Ford was pretty good early with Brad Keselowski and Chris Buescher leading a combined 104 laps.

Then, the Hendrick cars took over…

Again, the Hendrick cars are hard to stray away from here. Bettors did not go away from Larson because of the qualifying effort as seen by his (Win/Top3/Top5 splits). The NextGen (Gen 7) features at least one Toyota that can ruin the party – Tyler Reddick. Reddick won here in the Fall and aside from an accident in 2022 has finished inside the Top 4 three times.

Other NASCAR Best Bets For Homestead

Yes, the time comes to take some shots down the field for the Straight Talk Wireless 400. Besides, who can we choose in those Top 3 or even Top 5 positions perhaps? Where lies the value? I know every betting “expert” says that but some of it is true.

Always spread your bets around and check on the X for updates and more. Ryan Preece was one of our big beneficiaries last week with a Top 3. Heck, he may have won if the race went a few more laps.

Watch out for more driver specials and props.

How about a couple more possible Top 3 or Top 5 results. Look no further than Carson Hocevar or yes, Josh Berry. Hocevar ran well here last Fall and has the tire wear track scoped pretty good. He is +320 for a Top 5 but Berry is +360. Berry loves the progressive banking and has Hendrick knowledge on his side. Good luck NASCAR betting fans!
