The over/under is at a relatively high 154.5. Both regular-season meetings between these teams blazed over that number: Auburn earned a 92-82 win in Oxford on Feb. 1 (174 total points), and then embarrassed the Rebels 106-76 in Auburn on Feb. 26 (182 total points). The Tigers have been one of the best over teams in the nation all season, going 20-11 O/U against the total so far. Ole Miss was a more conservative 17-15 O/U.

Ole Miss advanced to the quarterfinals with a hard-fought 83-80 win over Arkansas in the second round on Thursday, getting a game-winner from leading scorer Sean Padulla (15.0 PPG, 3.6 RPG, 3.7 APG) with 1.3 to play. Ole Miss led by as many as ten in the first half but trailed by as many as eight in the second.

Junior forward Malik Dia (10.6 PPG, 5.7 RPG) had a game-hight 19 points on 7-of-8 shooting and a team-high eight rebounds. The Rebels picked up the win despite finishing -6 on the glass. They benefited from a subpar 21-of-32 performance from the stripe by the Razorbacks. Ole Miss was 15-of-20 from the line.

Auburn finished the regular season with its first two-game losing streak of the entire season, falling 83-72 at Texas A&M before losing a 93-91 OT thriller at home to Alabama, wasting a 34-point, eight-rebound performance from Johni Broome (18.6 PPG, 10.6 RPG, 3.3 APG), the second-favorite in the Wooden Award odds.

Broome was fairly dominant in the two regular-season games against Ole Miss, dropping 20 points with 12 rebounds and four dimes in the 92-82 road win, before putting up 24 points, nine boards, and four assists in the 106-76 home victory.

Ole Miss vs Auburn player props from bet365 on March 14. Lock in the bet365 promo code today.

A boatload of player props are available, with six Auburn players listed and five on the Ole Miss side. Broome, of course, leads the point totals at 19.5 with the over slightly favored. He hit 20 in both regular-season games against Ole Miss.

Padulla leads the Ole Miss players at 15.5. While he hit the memorable game-winner against Arkansas yesterday, it wasn’t a good game for the 6’1 senior, who had just 10 points on 4-of-12 shooting. He had just 14 points in the road loss to Auburn but was limited to just 27 minutes due, in part, to foul trouble. He torched the Tigers for 29 points on 10-of-16 shooting in Oxford on Feb. 1.

Ole Miss vs Auburn Predictions

There are a couple reasons that I like Auburn to cover the double-digit spread on Friday. First, of course, is the way they manhandled the Rebels in the two previous meetings. Ole Miss simply cannot compete with Auburn on the glass (the Rebels were -11 in Oxford and -13 in Auburn) so even if Auburn’s perimeter shooting isn’t on point today, they will get plenty of second looks and Broome should, once again, dominate the post.

The second is the fact that they have had a five-day break since their two-game losing streak. Not only will they be considerably more rested than the Rebels, who played a hard 40 minutes yesterday, they’ll also be starving to put the losing streak to bed. I won’t be the least bit surprised if the Tigers lead by double-digits by halftime.

  • Auburn -11.5 (-115)
  • Broome over 19.5 points (-125)
