NHL Futures

While the Stanley Cup is the ultimate prize when it comes to NHL futures, there are plenty of other futures markets bettors can take advantage of for both team accomplishments and player awards. The NHL season does run pretty long, typically starting in October and seeing its final game played in June, meaning there is no shortage of betting opportunities during those eight months. Futures are among those betting opportunities during that period, but they’re also the only betting option during the four months of NHL offseason each year.

Sportsbooks make NHL futures available at almost all times, with potential for quick downtimes happening around major injuries/trades. The NHL is also one of the only leagues who awards a trophy for leading the league in a specific stat. You can see all of the NHL futures we are tracking with the links below.

Here are the NHL futures for teams we are tracking:

To be clear, the final NHL futures market in the list above does not have anything to do with the amount of goals scored. It is focused on the team points awarded for wins and overtime losses that go towards the standings. This is the equivalent of win totals over/unders you see in the other three major professional sports leagues.

And then these are the player award futures we are tracking:

With NHL being a much more popular sport in Canada than the US, and private sportsbooks only entering Canada in May of 2022, we are still seeing sportsbooks playing a little bit of catchup when it comes to NHL futures. For example, Jack Adams futures had not typically been available, so we did not have odds to track. Now that most sportsbooks have made them available, we will look to start tracking the market ASAP.
