  • The Clippers visit the Suns in a Tuesday night Pacific Division showdown
  • Los Angeles is a 3-point road favorite in the latest Clippers vs Suns odds
  • Read on for Clippers vs Suns predictions, picks, odds, and injury updates for Tuesday

The Los Angeles Clippers will attempt to avoid a season series sweep when they take on the Phoenix Suns at Footprint Center on Tuesday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET on TNT.

Phoenix enters this contest struggling mightily, having lost eight of their last 10 games. The Suns are coming off a 116-98 home loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on March 2nd in which they committed 22 turnovers.

The latest Clippers vs Suns odds show Los Angeles as 3-point road favorites, with a total of 224.5 points. Can the Clippers get revenge against a Suns squad that has beat them three times already this season?

Let’s break down my Clippers vs Suns picks and predictions for Tuesday, March 4th.

Clippers vs Suns Predictions

The Clippers come into this one reeling as well, having lost four of their last five games. LA will be without Norman Powell (hamstring) in this contest, robbing them of their leading scorer at 23.6 PPG.

However, the Clips still have plenty of offensive firepower. James Harden is averaging 21.6 points and 8.5 assists per game in more of a facilitating role, while Kawhi Leonard chips in 17.9 points and 5.0 rebounds a night. Big man Ivica Zubac is a force inside with 15.4 points and 12.6 rebounds per contest.

Phoenix has dominated the Clippers this season, but right now, the Suns are in a serious slump. Over their last 10 games, they rank dead last in defensive rating, giving up a staggering 122.3 PPG. That’s bad news considering they’re just 8-29 when allowing more than 115 points.

Meanwhile, the Clippers boast the NBA’s 4th-ranked scoring defense, giving up only 108.6 PPG. They also force turnovers at a high rate and limit opponents to the 9th-lowest FG% and 11th-lowest 3P%. If LA can ugly this game up, they have a great shot to get the W.

The Suns will likely need a big game from superstar Kevin Durant, who is putting up 26.7 PPG in a Phoenix uniform. Devin Booker is always a threat as well with his 26.0 points and 6.9 assists per night. The potential absence of Bradley Beal (questionable, calf) would put even more pressure on the Suns’ top duo to carry the scoring load.

At the end of the day, I trust the Clippers’ defense more than the Suns’ at the moment. LA’s ability to get stops and create turnovers should allow them to control the pace and flow of this game. I’ll back the Clips -3 on the road in a crucial matchup for Western Conference seeding.

For the total, I’m going under 224.5 points. The Clippers want to slow things down, and they’ve gone under in four of their last six games. In a tightly contested battle, I expect a lower-scoring affair.

Clippers vs Suns Picks:

  • Clippers -3.0 (-115)
  • UNDER 224.5 (-105)

Suns +3.0 (-105) +122 U 224.5 (-105)

The Clippers enter this matchup as 3-point road favorites at Caesars Sportsbook. LA backers can get the Clips at -115 odds to cover the spread, while Suns supporters can grab Phoenix +3 at -105.

On the moneyline, the Clippers are -145 favorites to win outright. A $145 wager on LA returns $100 in profit with a victory. The Suns are +122 moneyline underdogs, so a $100 bet on Phoenix nets $122 in winnings if they pull the upset.

The total is set at 224.5 points, with even -115 odds on the over and -105 on the under. The Suns vs Clippers matchup is also included in the “Home Court Advantage” parlay at Caesars, which features a “Suns Win vs LAC” leg.

Clippers vs Suns Injury Report

Team Player Status Injury
Suns Bradley Beal Questionable Left calf injury management
Suns Cody Martin Out Sports hernia
Clippers Norman Powell Out Hamstring

The Suns have Bradley Beal listed as questionable for this contest as he deals with a left calf injury. Beal is a major part of Phoenix’s offense, so his potential absence would be a big blow. Cody Martin remains out with a sports hernia.

On the Clippers’ side, their leading scorer Norman Powell will miss this game with a hamstring issue. Losing his 23.6 PPG is a tough hit for LA, but they still have good depth to help fill the void.
