We’re looking at a full day of NBA action today so that means we need to lock in early. Like my grandfather always said, “You can’t gamble all day if you don’t start in the morning.” That’s as true today as it ever was. Lucky for us, the Denver Nuggets are in Boston visiting the Celtics at 1:10 pm ET, so we’ve got a great game to start us off. There are a million ways to bet this thing but player props are at the top of my list. With all the stars in this thing, we really have to dive deep but if you don’t have time for all that, all you have to do is tail me. I’ve found two bangers in this thing that I think have a combined 0.0% chance of losing. Feels right.

Nuggets vs Celtics Prediction #1: Nikola Jokic to Record a Triple-Double
People say that sometimes when we watch greatness, we don’t even know we’re watching it. Honestly, I’ve never actually heard someone say that but if people do say that, they’re wrong. It is so easy to watch Nikola Jokic play and know that we’re watching greatness.
The man is a triple-double machine and honestly, I don’t know if he’ll ever not get one again.

Price is everything in this game we play. As much as I hate to lay -110 on a guy to get a triple-double, it’s necessary in this case. For starters, there are some shops out there hanging -200 for this thing. If you know anything about anything, -200 is a far cry from -110. It’s not even the same type of bet.
But this thing isn’t just about price, this is about Nikola Jokic. Over his last six games, he’s ended up with a triple-double in four of them. What makes that more impressive is, he missed a triple-double by a single rebound or assist in the other two games. He easily could be on a six-game triple-double heater at this point. The man is on fire.
The haters are going to say that rebounds could be a problem but we shouldn’t be scared. On the season, the Celtics are 6th best in the NBA in rebounds to centers but we’re not looking at an ordinary center here. Joker is just as much of a threat to grab a rebound off of a missed three than anyone else. I think he sails over 10 in all of the main three triple-double categories today. Feels right.

Nuggets vs Celtics Pick #2: Derrick White 4+ Three-Pointers
Every championship team has role players that just smack. Whether it be a guy that plays lockdown defense, or a guy that just drills threes, role players are 100% needed to compete for championships. The thing about Derrick White is, he doesn’t just do one thing very well. He does multiple things very well which makes him a super role player.
Everyone can see it, even the armchair equipment managers out there.
it can't be overstated how important derrick white is

The thing about White is he’s a very streaky shooter. He’s either good or really good. On the season he’s shooting 39% from threeland but he goes on runs where he’s in the 50-55% range. He’s on one of those runs right now.
It’s a good thing because the Boston Celtics rely on the three-ball. On the season, no team takes more threes per game than the Boston Celtics. We’re talking 48 on a per game basis this year. They literally take more three than twos so there are plenty of opportunities to go around.
For bets like this, three-point defense rarely matters unless it’s elite. Denver does not fall into that category. On the season, teams are canning 36% of their three-balls against the Nuggets. Given the fact that this thing should stay competitive, Derrick White hitting at least four threes is a good bet. Feels right.
