The graphs on this page tracked the odds movement to win the American League and National League Rookie of the year awards over the course of the 2024 MLB season. The averages in each graphs were calculated based on the odds taken from our most trustworthy sportsbooks.

American League / National League
2024 AL Rookie of the Year Odds
- September 22: The only MLB player award that’s still a tight race in the AL ROY odds where Luis Gil (-150) is favored over Colton Cowser (+240) and Austin Well (+328).
- August 6: With Wyatt Langford (+1533) missing time due to injury, Colton Cowser (-149) became the odds-on AL ROY favorite, followed by Luis Gil (+254).
- July 11: The Rangers’ Wyatt Langford has jumped back to the top of the AL ROY odds at +121, followed closely by the Yankees’ Luis Gil at +208.
- June 10: Approaching the halfway point of the season, four player have emerged as serious contenders in the AL ROY odds: Luis Gil (-122), Mason Miller (+321), Wilyer Abreu (+546), and Colton Cowser (+800). No one else is shorter than +2000.
- May 29: Miller’s odds have shortened to +157 with Cowser still the second-favorite at +290.
- May 15: The Athletics’ Mason Miller has come roaring onto the AL ROY scene, riding his 103 mph fastball to the top of the table, with odds averaging at +176.
- April 25: Orioles outfielder Colton Cowser has become a sizable +175 AL ROY favorite with Rangers OF Evan Carter second at +371.
- April 10: Orioles shortstop Jackson Holliday (+283) is almost even with Langford (+237) at the top of the AL ROY odds two weeks into the season.
- March 26: With the Rangers promoting Wyatt Langford to their Opening Day roster, the outfielder has taken over as the favorite to win AL Rookie of the Year.
- February 1: Jackson Holliday has opened as the favorite to win AL Rookie of the Year.
2024 NL Rookie of the Year Odds
- September 22: In one of the wildest odds shifts in recent memory, Jackson Merrill went from a +1517 longshot just six weeks ago to -246 favorite as Paul Skenes faded from a prohibitively short -5000 to +165.
- August 6: The most lopsided race among all the MLB awards is Paul Skenes to win NL ROY at -5000. Jackson Merrill is a distant second-favorite at +1517.
- July 11: Paul Skenes continues to dazzle in his rookie season and is now a -374 favorite, on average, to win NL Rookie of the Year. Second-favorite Jackson Merrill is +319 while former favorite Shota Imanaga has faded to +1650.
- June 10: After a couple rough outings, Imanaga has faded to +123. Skenes is now a close second-favorite at +221.
- May 29: Shota Imanaga has become the odds-on NL Rookie of the Year favorite at -131. Paul Skenes (+567) is the second-favorite after just three starts, sporting a 2.25 ERA and 1.00 WHIP.
- May 5: With odds averaging at +155, the Cubs’ Shota Imanaga has passed his compatriot Yamamoto (+356) as favorite for the NL ROY.
- April 25: Cubs infielder Michael Busch (+435) has surpassed Yoshinobu Yamamoto (+499) as the NL ROY favorite with Pirates pitcher Jared Jones (+500) a close third-favorite.
- April 10: Yamamoto (+258) remains the favorite but Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio (+397) is making a strong early push.
- March 14: LAD’s Yoshinobu Yamamoto (+173) starts the year as a heavy favorite in the NL Rookie of the Year odds, followed by SF’s Lee Jung (+597).
