Team Canada’s Nathan MacKinnon leads all players with +200 odds to score, followed by Team USA’s Auston Matthews (+210), and his teammate Connor McDavid (+230). MacKinnon, a top-two Hart Trophy odds contender, is tied for the tournament lead with three goals, while McDavid has potted two, and Matthews has been shut out.

The Canadian goaltending situation has been a topic of discussion since before the tournament began. The team is without a star in net, and Binnington’s appointment as the starter was a curious decision. The Blues netminder ranks 35th in goals against average this season, and 39th in save percentage.

Through three 4 Nations starts he’s produced a save percentage south of .900 twice. It hasn’t haunted Canada, however, thanks to the wall they’ve put up in front of him. Canada leads the tournament in expected goals against. They’ve blocked 58 shots, 22 more than the Americans. They’ve sacrificed offense in order to hide Binnington, and we shouldn’t expect that to change in the final.

Prop Pick #2: Kyle Connor Under 1.5 Shots
