Alabama, which plays at the single-fastest pace among all 364 DI teams, is 15-10 over/under this season. Missouri, which plays at the 162nd-fastest pace, is 13-12 O/U.

Alabama has been one of the best road teams this season, going 8-1 straight-up. That includes eight straight wins since loosing 87-78 at Purdue in mid-November. The Tide already own road victories over Texas (103-80), Arkansas (85-81), Kentucky (102-97), and Kentucky (102-97).

Mizzou has been near-perfect at home, going 12-1 SU. They started the year 11-0 in Columbia before a razor-thin 67-64 to Texas A&M eleven days ago.

The Tide are fifth in the March Madness championship odds at +1000 heading into Wednesday. Missouri isn’t getting nearly as much respect from oddsmakers, sitting 20th at +5500.

Wednesday night’s college basketball betting splits show some very strong leans. Just an hour and a half from tip-off, the Crimson Tide are currently getting a massive 81% of ATS handle on 94% of ATS wagers. The public also likes Bama to win straight-up as slight road underdogs, putting 74% of moneyline handle on the Tide.

The public’s strongest take, though, is on the total: so far 94% of O/U handle and 95% of O/U tickets are on the under.

Bama’s Mark Sears (17.8 PPG, 3.0 RPG, 4.8 APG) leads the point totals at 17.5 O/U, followed by Mizzou’s Tamar Bates (13.4 PPG, 2.8 RPG, 1.2 APG) at 14.5 O/U.

Grant Nelson (12.6 PPG, 8.3 RPG, 1.7 APG) leads the rebound totals at 8.5. No other player on the board is higher than 4.5, and no one on the entire Missouri team is averaging more than 4.7 RPG.

Alabama vs Missouri Prediction & Picks

The Tide had their seven-game win streak snapped last time out by #1 Auburn (94-85 home) but they still haven’t lost a road game since November 15 (and a non-home game since Nov. 30), going 8-0 in that span with six top-50 true-road wins.

Alabama has also been phenomenal coming off a loss this season. In the game immediately after their three previous defeats, they went 3-0 SU and ATS with wins over Illinois (100-87 home), North Carolina (94-79 away), and Kentucky (102-97 away).

Missouri’s only home loss this year was a tight 67-64 setback to Texas A&M on Feb. 8. They are playing well-above preseason expectations, but I don’t like how they matchup with the Tide. The one area where Missouri really struggles is cleaning up their own glass; they sit just 251st in defensive-rebound percentage (68.7%), and offensive rebounding is one of Alabama’s greatest strengths. The tide are 17th in the nation, grabbing 36.7% of all OR chances.

That means, even if Bama’s shooters are having an off-night by their lofty standards (they sit 21st out of 364 DI teams in EFG% at 55.9) they are apt to get plenty of second looks.
