$800K Bet on the Eagles

The biggest wager on the Super Bowl to date is an $800,000 bet on Eagles ML (+110) vs the Chiefs on Sunday. At BetMGM, a user could have a potential payout of $1,680,000 if the Eagles defeat the Chiefs in Super Bowl 59.

As of February 5, the Eagles’ moneyline odds have shifted down to +100. This is by far the biggest confirmed bet on the Super Bowl, and this bettor will be rooting hard for the Eagles to get their revenge from Super Bowl 57. The good news for this bettor is that the Eagles have done well against teams above .500. Since the start of December, Philadelphia is 5-1 straight up against teams with winning records.

$750K Bet on Eagles Moneyline

Another bettor at BetMGM placed a large wager on the Eagles (+110) to win the Super Bowl. This $750,000 bet would win $825,000, resulting in a payout of $1,575,000.

This bettor is all on the Eagles and is hoping for the Chiefs dynasty to end on Sunday.

$500K Bet on Eagles +1.5

A bettor at DraftKings put $500,000 on the Eagles to cover the spread in the big game. With -115 odds, the payout for this wager would be $934,782.61.

Underdogs have done well in the Super Bowl of late, and this bettor is hoping that continues on Sunday

$300K Bet on Chiefs Moneyline

Someone at BetMGM is going against the $800k bettor. This user put $300,000 on the Chiefs to beat the Eagles on Sunday at -130 odds. The payout on this bet would be $531,000.

The updated odds for Chiefs ML at BetMGM are -120. Patrick Mahomes is 17-3 straight up in the postseason in his career, so it is hard to not back the Chiefs in the big game.

$200K Bet on Philadelphia

Another big bet on the Eagles to win was confirmed at ESPN Bet. This bettor got Eagles ML at +105, which means this bet would win $210,000.

This bet was placed on February 5. The Eagles have won 15 of their last 16 games, and this bettor needs one more win to cash this ticket.

$125K Bet On Under 49.5 in Eagles vs Chiefs

A bettor at BetMGM put $125K on Under 49.5 in Super Bowl 59. The over hit the last time these two teams played in the Super Bowl, but with how both of these defenses played all season, it is understandable why this bettor thinks there will be less than 50 points scored.

$110K Bet On The Under

Another large bet on the Super Bowl came in on the total in Chiefs vs Eagles. On January 29, a bettor in Nevada placed a $110,000 bet on Under 49.5 at Caesars Sportsbook. At -110 odds, the bet would win $100K, resulting in a total payout of $210,000.

The O/U has changed after this bet was placed. The NFL odds now list the total for Super Bowl 59 at 48.5. Fun fact: the under is 11-3 in the last 14 Super Bowls with a male-led halftime show. That is good news for this bettor since Kendrick Lamar is performing at halftime this year.

Big Bets on the Eagles at Caesars Sportsbook

We spoke with Craig Mucklow, the Senior VP of Trading at Caesars to see what bets have been coming in on the Super Bowl. He said that Caesars took a couple of $100K bets on Eagles ML and a couple of $50K bets on Eagles +1.5, which forced them to move the line down to Eagles +1.

See the full interview with Craig Mucklow at Caesars New Orleans.

$71K Bet on the Coin Toss

On February 8, the largest report wager on the coin toss came in. A bettor at DraftKings can double his money if the coin toss at the Super Bowl is tails. This user put $71,000 on Tails at +100 odds, so the potential payout would be $142,000.

Tails has only won once in the last four years, but the coin toss outcome has been tails in six of the last ten Super Bowls.

$51K Bet on NO Octopus in the Super Bowl

An octopus is a fun prop bet that has grown in popularity over the last few years. It occurs when a player scores a touchdown, and then the same player scores the following two-point conversion. There has only been one octopus in Super Bowl history, and it happened the last time these two teams played in the Super Bowl. Jalen Hurts scored a touchdown vs the Chiefs in Super Bowl 57 then followed it up by rushing in for a two-point conversion. The odds were +1400 for an Octopus to occur in Super Bowl 57.

This bettor is wagering a lot of money on there to NOT be an octopus this time around. The odds are -3335, so the payout would only net $1,530. The bet was placed on January 31 at BetRivers.

$25K Bet on Travis Kelce to Win Super Bowl MVP

A bettor at BetMGM placed a $25,000 bet on Travis Kelce to win Super Bowl MVP. The Super Bowl MVP odds list Kelce at +1500 to win the award. This bet was placed on January 28.

Kelce has had some impactful performances in the Super Bowl, but he has yet to win MVP. If Kelce does win, he will become the first tight end in NFL history to win Super Bowl MVP.

$20K Bet on the Coin Toss

On February 7. A bettor at ESPN BET put $20,945 on the coin toss to be tails. ESPN BET is offering this prop at even money, so this bet would result in a payout of $41,890 if it happens to be tails.

“Tails never fails” is a popular phrase this time of year, but the coin toss at the Super Bowl has only been tails once in the last four years.

$20K Bet on Patrick Mahomes to Win Super Bowl MVP

On January 30, a bettor at Caesars Sportsbook placed a $20,000 wager on Patrick Mahomes to win Super Bowl MVP. At +110 odds, the bet would win $22,000, resulting in a total payout of $42K. Mahomes has won three Super Bowls and has been the Super Bowl MVP in all three of those games.

If Kansas City wins again, Mahomes has a great shot at winning his fourth Super Bowl MVP. Mahomes is the betting favorite to win the award.
