For the third straight week, the Washington Commanders (14-5, 7-3 away, 12-6-1 ATS) are heavy road underdogs in the NFL playoffs. This Sunday, rookie QB Jayden Daniels and company travel to Lincoln Financial Field to face the Philadelphia Eagles (16-3, 10-1 home, 12-7 ATS) as 6.5-point ‘dogs. With two impressive road wins already under their belt, the Commanders are getting a considerable amount of love from the betting public.

The current Commanders vs Eagles betting splits show 62% of ATS handle on Washington to cover the spread as 6.5-point road underdogs.

This spread opened Philadelphia -4.5 last Sunday before being bet up two full points over the course of the week.
The Eagles are getting the vast majority of moneyline tickets (69%) but the larger average bets are on Washington to win straight-up, as the moneyline handle is almost evenly split at 51/49% in favor of the hometown Eagles.
The latest NFL odds list the Eagles as -300 home chalk on the moneyline with the Commanders at +250 to pull off the upset.
The game total has also moved significantly. The over/under opened at 48.5 and has come down a full point to 47.5 as of late Saturday night. The public is now betting heavily on the over, though, with 73% of O/U handle and 86% of O/U tickets on the over at this point. So don’t be surprised if it moves back up half a point before kickoff.
Commanders vs Eagles Injury Reports
Both teams are in relatively good shape, injury-wise. Washington is slightly worse off with both starting guard Sam Cosmi and starting defensive tackle Daron Payne listed as out.
Cosmi played over 99% of snaps for the Commanders in the regular season and 100% in the Divisional Round victory over Tampa Bay before getting injured in Washington’s thrilling 45-31 upset over the Lions in Detroit. Cosmi helped Washington grade out at sixth overall in rushing offense per PFF.
Payne played 69% of snaps for the Washington defense in the regular season, registering four sacks from the interior of the line along with five tackles-for-loss. The Washington defense isn’t great against the run at the best of times. The team was shredded by Saquon Barkley and the Eagles ground game in both regular-season meetings (439 total rushing yards in two games). The downgrade from Payne, the #13 overall pick in 2018, to backup Sheldon Day, a fourth-rounder in 2016, could be considerable.
On the Philadelphia side, the biggest injury concern is starting center Cam Jurgens, who is listed as questionable with a back injury. Jurgens has taken over 90% of snaps for the Eagles offense over the last two seasons. He missed the first two practices this week before being a limited participant on Friday.
