AFC West rivals take center stage to kick off Week 16 on Thursday Night Football, as the Denver Broncos visit the Los Angeles Chargers. Despite getting crushed by the Buccaneers last week, LA is a 2.5-point home favorite in the Broncos vs Chargers odds. With both clubs trying to hang onto playoff positions in the AFC, there should be some high-level football being played, which come with plenty of choices for our NFL player props. See the full list of Broncos vs Chargers player props and odds, below, and my top picks.

Broncos vs Chargers Player Prop #1: Herbert Completions

It’s entirely possible the books overlooked Justin Herbert’s completion prop, because it doesn’t add up.

Herbert, given a line of 21.5 completions at DraftKings, ranks 18th in the NFL this year in completions, averaging 18.2 per contest.

The fewer attempts and LA’s run-first approach has helped Herbert to a career-low two interceptions through 14 games, but he has only completed 22 more passes in a game one time all year.

He has come close, hitting 21 completions in three of his last four games, including a 21-for-33 effort last time out in a loss to the Bucs. The other time this year? When he went 21-for-34 in LA’s Week 6 win against these same Broncos.

  • Broncos vs Chargers Prop Pick: Herbert Under 21.5 completions (-145); risk 1 unit at DraftKings

DEN vs LAC Player Prop #2: Nix TD Passes

Bo Nix has looked downright above average as Denver has reeled off four wins in a row and six in its last eight to secure its first winning season since 2016.

Even with a subpar effort last week against the Colts, the rookie threw three TD passes, giving him at least two TD tosses in four of his last five games.

Nix has also had success against this same Chargers’ secondary, as he was getting his feet wet at the NFL level, throwing for 216 yards and two scores.

Over its last 10 games, LA has allowed seven passers to throw for at least two TD’s. Only Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins and Jameis Winston have failed to top that total.

  • Broncos vs Chargers Prop Picks: Nic OVER 1.5 TD passes (+135); risk 2 units at DraftKings

Broncos vs Chargers Touchdown Scorer Props

Player Odds to Score 1st TD Odds to Score Any TD
Gus Edwards (LAC) +550 +110
Ladd McConkey (LAC) +800 +145
Courtland Sutton (DEN) +1000 +175
Javonte Williams (DEN) +1000 +185
Quentin Johnston (LAC) +1100 +230
Will Dissly (LAC) +1200 +260
Audric Estime (DEN) +1200 +245
Justin Herbert (LAC) +1200 +275
Bo Nix (DEN) +1200 +225
Kimani Vidal (LAC) +1300 +285
Joshua Palmer (LAC) +1400 +285
Stone Smartt (LAC) +1600 +350

There are no players on either team with minus odds to get into the endzone. Veteran Chargers’ RB Gus Edwards has the best odds at +110, followed by receivers Ladd McConkey and Courtland Sutton.

Broncos vs Chargers Player Prop #3: Count of Courtland

Broncos’ wideout Courtland Sutton has scored a touchdown in each of his last three appearances against the Chargers.

For LA (and for increased juice) Quentin Johnston has scored a touchdown in each of the Chargers’ last four games as favorites.

Looking to get a little crazier? The Broncos’ D/ST has scored at least one touchdown in each of their last two games, and have +500 odds to do it a third time.

  • Broncos vs Chargers Prop Picks: Sutton anytime touchdown (+175); risk 1 unit at DraftKings Sportsbook

Last week: 1-2

This season: 13-25, -13.77 units
