  • We’ve got yet another legendary College Football slate Saturday, October 26, 2024
  • There are a million great games, but two have caught my eye, and both need to be pummeled
  • Check out the best way to bet on these Saturday college football games below

I’m Saturday, and that can only mean one thing: college football. Like always, there is a massive slate to break down. There are a million schools out there that all play football, and most of them play on Saturdays. It’s a little gift from God that we get every week during the fall. We’re blessed.

Since there are so many games, we have to narrow down the board a little. While it would be amazing to have action on every single game, it’s just not something we’re capable of. The human brain just can’t handle that level of stimulation.

Lucky for us, I found two games that can spread out our fun over the course of the entire afternoon. The first one is at noon, and it’s the Notre Dame/Navy game. Once they wrap up, we’ll turn our attention to the Texas/Vanderbilt matchup.

This could easily be the greatest Saturday of our lives.

Navy Might Actually Be A Wagon

Here’s how you know that I’ve grown as a person. I never bet Navy. Or Army. Or Air Force. My simple brain can’t wrap around those weird, old-school offenses. I just can’t. Until now.

I don’t know what it is, but somehow, I think being in really good shape and looking super trim will help Navy against Notre Dame.

I still don’t totally understand the service academy offenses. They trot out 1000 running backs and barely ever throw a forward pass. But what was once considered a weakness by me, is now considered a strength. Again, I’ve grown as a human being. It’s a great development in my life.

It’s just hard to ignore the fact that Navy runs it up on everyone. These kids just dropped a 50-burger last week. In fact, they haven’t scored fewer than 34 points in a game all season. I get that they haven’t played anyone, but neither has Notre Dame (other than Texas A&M, but that was the first game of the season).

The Irish literally lost to Northern Illinois. I don’t know if Navy wins this game, but I do know they’re scoring at least 20 points. Feels right.

  • The Pick: Navy Midshipmen Team Total Over 19.5 (+106) – FanDuel (Alt Line)

Vanderbilt Can Surprise People

I know I just said that I never take service academies, but another thing I’m doing is taking Vanderbilt which I never do either. This growth thing I was talking about is real. Who even knows where it’s going to end. I might be a giant at the end of this thing.

Not to take any wind out of my growth sails, but it’s not really that hard to back a Manning Award watch guy.

This bet has nothing to do with Vanderbilt. It has nothing to do with Texas. It is all about one man, and his name is Diego Pavia. If you’ve never seen him play, open up YouTube and search his name. The kid is filthy. He just does what he wants out there.

I get that Texas is coming off of a game where they embarrassed themselves, their families and every Texas Longhorn alumnus, so they’ll be fired up. I get it. But even with all of that embarrassment fuel, stopping Diego just isn’t in the cards. We just saw him go to Kentucky at night and hang 20 on the Wildcats. Nobody does that.

Just like Navy, I’m not sure Vanderbilt can win this game, but dropping 20+ seems more than doable. They have Diego Pavia. Feels right.

  • The Pick: Vanderbilt Commodores Team Total Over 19.5 (+142) – FanDuel (Alt Line)
  • 2024 NCAAF SBD Release Results – 6-8 (-1.24 Units)
