The Week 8 NFL odds are uncharacteristically big. Only two spreads are under a field goal. (

One line – Bears vs Commanders – has yet to be posted. Washington’s standout rookie QB, Jayden Daniels, suffered a rib injury in his team’s 40-7 rout over the Carolina Panthers. Odds likely won’t be released until his status for Week 8 is better known. The table above will be updated when the Chicago/Washington odds are released.
Biggest Week 8 Point Spread: Titans at Lions (-10.5)
The Week 8 NFL odds feature something bettors haven’t seen all season: three spreads in double-figures. The Chiefs are 10-point favorites on the road in Las Vegas against the Raiders, and the Ravens are also 10-point chalk on the road in Cleveland against the Browns. But the biggest spread of Week 8 comes from the Tennessee at Detroit matchup, where the surging Lions (5-1) are 10.5-point home favorites against the Titans (1-5), who are coming off a 34-10 drubbing at the hands of the Bills.
The Lions, meanwhile, came out on top in the best game of Week 7, handing the Vikings their first loss of the season in a back-and-forth 32-29 game in Minnesota. Detroit took over first place in the heated NFC North in the process.
Highest Week 8 Total: Bills vs Seahawks (49.5)
The highest total on the board at the moment is Bills vs Seahawks at 49.5. The Seahawks, who are getting a career year from Geno Smith, are averaging 57.0 PPG (cumulatively) in their last four games. They had a streak of three straight overs broken in their 34-14 Week 7 win over Atlanta (against a total of 51.5). At 5-2 O/U on the season, Seattle is tied for the second-best over record in the league this year, trailing only 5-1 Baltimore.
Buffalo is 4-3 O/U so far but each of its last four games has stayed under 46 points, including their 34-10 Week 7 win over Tennessee.
Lowest Week 8 Total: Giants vs Steelers (37.5)
Unlike recent weeks, only two totals are under 40 points in Week 8. The lowest of the bunch is the New York Giants vs Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football, which has a total of just 37.5.
The Giants have been the best under bet in the NFL in 2024, going 1-6 O/U in their first seven games. Their offense has been horribly anemic each of the last two weeks, scoring just 10 points total. The G-Men failed to score a touchdown in their embarrassing 28-3 Week 7 loss to the Eagles at home.
The Steelers, meanwhile, are 2-4 O/U. They have the second-best scoring defense in the entire NFL, allowing just 13.2 PPG, and the 22nd-best offense (20.7 PPG) heading into the Sunday Night Football tilt with the New York Jets in Week 7.
