Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes (4-2, 2-1 Big 12)  battle the Arizona Wildcats (3-3, 1-2 Big 12) in Week 8 college football action. Colorado enters this contest after a late Jayce Brown touchdown led to a 31-28 loss to Kansas State last week. While Arizona is in the midst of tough stretch, the Wildcats lost to Texas Tech in Week 6 and were thumped 41-19 by BYU last Saturday.

This one kicks off from Arizona Stadium in Tucson on Saturday, October 19 at 4pm ET over on Fox. Until then, check out all the Colorado vs Arizona odds and our best bets, below.

Colorado Hoping to Reverse Their Fortunes

Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders was in fine form last week, tossing for 388 yards and three touchdowns while very nearly leading the Buffaloes to an unbelievable comeback.

In huge news for Buffaloes backers, star corner/receiver Travis Hunter is expected to play after leaving last week’s contest with a shoulder ailment. Hunter leads Colorado with 49 receptions for 587 yards and six touchdowns this season. On defense, he sports an 84.5 PFF coverage grade, and has snatched two interceptions.

Pat Shurmur’s offense is married to the pass. The Buffaloes throw the football on 63.5% of snaps while throwing for 314 passing yards per game. That’s resulted in 30.4 points per game (43rd in the FBS), but just 5.3 yards per play (82nd).

Colorado’s running game is one of the worst in the country, averaging a putrid 63 yards per game (130th) and just 2.4 yards per rush (131st). If the Buffs can’t get any semblance of a rushing attack going on Saturday, it could be a long day for Sanders against an underrated Arizona pass-rush.

Keep in mind, Colorado are 7-2 (77.8%) against the spread in their last 9 games as an underdog.

Arizona Look To Get Back In Win Column

While the team has gotten off to a brutal start, Arizona have the ability to light up the scoreboard in a hurry.

Sophomore quarterback Noah Fifita and his high school teammate Tetairoa McMillan can take over games at any given moment. McMillan is one of the best receivers in the country. He’s racked up 42 receptions for 742 yards and four touchdowns already. He combines a ridiculous catch radius, with unreal size and speed. McMillan’s highlight reel plays speckle social media.

On the defensive side, the Wildcats nearly 30 points per game, and a middle-of-the-pack 5.8 yards per play. However, they’ve been excellent at getting after the quarterback, with 14 sacks, 20 hits and 77 hurries through six games.

Colorado vs Arizona Prediction

Remember, the Wildcats won this contest last year, defeating the Buffaloes 34-31 in Boulder. Just like in 2023, the public is all over Colorado to cover in this game. However, Deion Sanders’ team is just 1-9 SU in their last 10 games as an underdog. Colorado’s putrid rushing attack and work-in-progress offensive line give me pause.

That, combined with their mediocre pass-rush, leaves me no other option but to back Arizona and lay the points. If Hunter can’t go, or is limited in any way, getting the Wildcats at under a field goal is an easy play.

Colorado vs Arizona Pick: Arizona -2.5 (-115)
