West Virginia vs Oklahoma State

The Mountaineers are primed for an upset in Stillwater this Saturday. Coming off a bye week, West Virginia is well-rested and getting healthier, with key players like Aubrey Burks and Preston Fox expected back in the lineup.

Meanwhile, Oklahoma State is reeling after two straight conference losses. Their run defense has been abysmal, ranking 101st nationally and allowing over 200 yards per game on the ground. That’s music to the ears of WVU’s strong offensive line and talented backfield duo of CJ Donaldson and Jahiem White.

The Cowboys’ offense has also sputtered, with star RB Ollie Gordon averaging just 66.8 yards per game. If West Virginia can establish the run and keep OSU’s offense off the field, they’ll have a great shot at the road upset.

  • Pick: West Virginia ML (+125)

Hawaii vs San Diego State

Don’t sleep on the Rainbow Warriors in this one. Hawaii’s passing attack (39th nationally) matches up nicely against San Diego State’s suspect pass defense (57th). QB Danny O’Neil has been efficient, and WR Louis Brown is a big-play threat averaging 77.3 yards per game.

On the flip side, Hawaii’s defense has been stingy, allowing just 17 points per game (30th). They should be able to contain a scuffling Aztecs offense that ranks outside the top 100 in both scoring and passing yards.

This projects as a low-scoring affair, and I like Hawaii’s chances of pulling off the road upset. Their ability to move the ball through the air gives them a significant edge in what should be a defensive struggle.

  • Pick: Hawaii ML (+110)

Florida vs UCF

The Gators are hungry for a statement win, and they’ve got a golden opportunity at home against UCF. Florida’s passing attack (30th nationally) should feast on a Knights secondary allowing 251.5 yards per game through the air (106th).

UCF enters at 3-1, but they’ve faced a cupcake schedule (combined opponent record: 5-11). Traveling to the Swamp to face an SEC opponent is a massive step up in competition. The Knights’ turnover issues (6 giveaways, tied for 64th most) could be their downfall against an opportunistic Florida defense.

With a raucous home crowd behind them and a more battle-tested roster, I like the Gators to defend their turf and hand UCF a reality check on Saturday.

  • Pick: Florida ML (+100)
