Suns Betting Trends
The Suns are coming off a disappointing 105-92 loss to these same Clippers on Tuesday night in Phoenix. The Suns fell behind by a staggering 35-4 margin in the first quarter and could never fully recover, despite outscoring LA 59-44 in the second half.
Prior to that defeat, Phoenix had won three straight over the Pelicans, Cavaliers and Timberwolves. The Suns averaged 114.3 points in those victories while allowing just 99.7 per game. However, they managed only 92 points on 33.7% shooting in the loss to the Clippers.

For the season, Phoenix is scoring 116.1 points per game (6th in NBA) and allowing 115.9 (28th). Their 49.2 FG% ranks 2nd in the league. Kevin Durant leads the way, averaging 29.1 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists on 55.9% shooting. Devin Booker is putting up 27.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists on 49.4%
Phoenix is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games vs LA and 9-14-1 ATS in their last 24 as a road favorite. In terms of injuries, backup center Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) and reserve guard Damion Lee (knee) are out.
Clippers Betting Trends
The Clippers extended their win streak to four games with the road victory over the Suns on Tuesday. LA raced out to a 31-point lead after the first quarter and led by as many as 39 before Phoenix made it somewhat respectable late.
During their four-game win streak, the Clippers are averaging a robust 120.8 points while giving up 105.0. They shot 46.2% from three-point range in the win over the Suns. The Clippers will try to replicate their sizzling shooting from Tuesday, when they drained 12 threes in the first half to build a huge lead.

On the season, LA is putting up 115.9 points (8th) and allowing 115.0 (22nd). The Clippers make 12.9 threes per game (6th) at a 38.6% clip (4th). Kawhi Leonard leads with 23.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.9 assists on 52.5% shooting, while Paul George adds 23.6 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.1 assists.
The Clippers have covered in seven of their past 10 games against the Suns but are 7-13 ATS in their last 20 games overall and 7-11 ATS in their last 18 as a home underdog.
LA has several key players out for this game, including Kawhi Leonard (right knee inflammation), Paul George (left knee soreness) and James Harden (right foot inflammation). Meanwhile, Russell Westbrook (left-hand contusion) and Ivica Zubac (left ankle) are questionable. Their availability will have a major impact on this game.

Phoenix Suns vs LA Clippers Prediction
This is a tough game to call with the Clippers’ injury situation up in the air. The Suns should be extremely motivated to get a split after their embarrassing loss Tuesday. If Kawhi, PG and Harden all sit as expected, Phoenix has a major edge in firepower with Durant and Booker.
I expect a much more competitive game throughout. The Suns were on a roll before Tuesday and I think they bounce back here, so I lean towards laying the 9.5 points.
The over is also appealing given both teams’ shaky defenses and top-10 offenses. I’ll take Suns -9.5 and Over 219.5 as my best NBA bets.
