In the Eagles vs Seahawks injury reports and inactives for the Week 15 MNF game between Philadelphia and Seattle, there are developments involving both team’s QB1.
For the Eagles Jalen Hurts is dealing with an illness and is listed as questionable. It’s still not been determined whether he’ll be playing.
On the Seattle side, the news is also concerning. There were expectations that QB1 Geno Smith would be returning under center. He was missing from last week’s loss to San Francisco due to a groin injury. But now it’s appearing as if Drew Lock will be starting a second straight game at QB for the Seahawks.
Philadelphia is the 3.5-point away chalk over Seattle in the Eagles vs Seahawks odds. The Eagles are 3-1-1 this season as road favorites.

Three Starters Already Out for Eagles
Hurts was unable to practice Saturday. Reportedly, his condition worsened between Saturday and Sunday. The decision was made by the Eagles to have their QB1 travel separately to Seattle for the MNF game.

Impacting the Eagles vs Seahawks picks, Philadelphia is already certain to be missing three starters for this game. RCB Darius Slay is out after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery. WLB Zach Cunningham (knee) and RG Cam Jurgens (chest) have all been ruled out.

Status of Seahawks QB Smith Downgraded
Smith is also being listed as questionable in the Eagles vs Seahawks injury reports. He was limited in practice this week. What looked like encouraging news on his status on the weekend has changed and the latest reports are to expect it to be Lock at QB again for the Seahawks.
It may not be Geno Smith facing the Eagles. He is a longshot according to @RapSheet
Jalen Hurts and the Eagles hope he is able to play through his illness. Jalen flew separately from Eagles charter to get to Seattle and not get anyone else sick.

How Could Injuries Affect Eagles vs Seahawks Betting Lines?
If it turns out that Hurts can’t answer the bell, the Eagles are a rarity among NFL teams in that they can turn to a very experienced backup. Veteran Marcus Mariota, who started 13 games last season for the Atlanta Falcons, would step in to fill the void.
Slay’s absence is certainly a concern facing the dynamic Seattle WR trio of DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. It’s possible that a number of players will see action on the right corner in the Philadelphia secondary in trying to plug the gap. They could include Kelee Ringo, Josh Jobe, Bradley Roby and Eli Ricks. Certainly, this is an area that you might want to be exploring in the Eagles vs Seahawks player props.
Jurgens will be missing his sixth game of the season. Sue Opeta is designated to start in his place, even though Tyler Steen got the start the last game that Jurgens missed.
Cunningham is out for the third time in 2023. Fortunately for the Eagles, they recently signed veteran LB Shaq Leonard. He made his Philadelphia debut last week.
Seattle WR Dee Eskridge (ribs) is questionable. He’s also the club’s top kick returner. Look for punt return man DeeJay Dallas to add kick return duties if Eskridge can’t go.
Julian Love would slot in at SS if Adams can’t play. Tre Bown would start if Witherspoon is unable to go.
