Eagles vs Cowboys Head-to-Head History
Dallas may hold the all-time head-to-head record at 73-56, but these teams usually go back and forth in recent years. The Eagles have won two of three, but the Cowboys have won four of six. But then it’s an even split at 4-4 over their last eight meetings.
In NFL public betting, the public is heavily backing the underdog Eagles to cover the spread with a high percentage of both the money and bet counts coming in on Philly +3.5. So far, the money and bets are generally split on the total.
Eagles Betting Preview
Could there be a tougher stretch of schedule than what the Eagles have gone through in the past month and a half? We can go back all the way to October 22 with a game to Miami, one of the league’s top offenses, which they handled pretty easily winning 31-17.
From there they beat divisional rival Washington but needed 38 points to get past them winning 38-31. That preceded the win over the Cowboys in Week 9, followed by a bye week In Week 10. They then went into Kansas City and won 21-17 on MNF and from there it’s been a 37-34 overtime win over Buffalo where their defense was on the field for over 90 plays, and then last week’s 42-19 lopsided defeat to the 49ers.
So this week included, Philly will be playing five of the top nine favorites in the Super Bowl 58 odds in six of their most recent seven games (Dallas x2).
That the Eagles continue to find ways to win games despite this gauntlet is impressive. The Eagles are the fourth-ranked offense scoring 27.4 PPG and will be getting reinforcements this week with TE Dallas Goedert returning from injury.
But on the defensive side of the ball, Philly has been hemorrhaging yards through the air giving up 260.3 YPG which is a lowly 29th overall. What’s worse is they’ve given up the most touchdowns to opposing WRs this season with 21. Put into context to make that stat worse, is that Washington has allowed the second-most TDs to WRs at 20, but the third-worst is Jacksonville who have only given up 14. That could be a case to back CeeDee Lamb or other Dallas receivers in tonight’s Eagles vs Cowboys props.

Cowboys Betting Preview
Since that Week 9 defeat, Dallas have been rolling with wins of 49-17, 33-10, 45-10 and 41-35.
They’ve now won four straight, six of seven, have scored 30 or more points in four straight and 40 or more points in four of six games. Dallas is the league’s highest scoring offense averaging 32.3 PPG and at home, Dallas is riding an incredible 14-game winning streak
During this streak for Dallas, Dak Prescott is in the midst of averaging 316.8 yards per game in his last six games, where he’s also thrown for 20 touchdown passes adding to his league-high 26. Six of those recent touchdown passes have gone to Lamb, who’s found the endzone in five of six games and in each of his last four. Lamb has also also topped the 100-yard receiving mark in five of his past seven games.
But the knock against Dallas is that they are bullies who simply beat up on bad teams. And if you look at their results, it’s hard to disagree with that narrative. Of their nine wins, none of those teams have a winning record. Two, the Rams and Seahawks are 6-6, but their remaining wins have come versus teams with 4-8, 4-8, 2-10, 5-7, 1-11 and 4-9 records.

Eagles vs Cowboys Prediction
These are two of the best ATS teams this season at 7-3-2 for the Eagles, which is the second-best ATS record, and Dallas 8-4-0, tied for the third-best record with Detroit, Indy and Miami.
Dallas is 5-1 ATS versus teams with losing records but only 2-3 ATS against teams with winning records. However, Dallas is 5-0 ATS in the past five home games against Philadelphia.
Both teams have been cashing tickets for Over bettors this season with Dallas 8-4 to the Over and Philly 7-5 to the Over. Dallas is riding a 5-1 run to the Over in their past six games, while the Eagles are 4-1 to the Over in their past five.
For our Eagles vs Cowboys prediction let’s back the Over. We have two top-four offenses, an Eagles defense that gives up the ninth-most points per game (24) and Dallas’ defense that just let Geno Smith throw for 334 yards and three touchdowns last week, while finding themselves down 35-27 in the fourth quarter before mounting a comeback. When Dallas has played teams with a .500 record or bettor this season the Over is a perfect 4-0.
Eagles vs Cowboys Picks: Over 51.5 (-110)
