San Francisco vs Philadelphia Betting Trends
In the NFL public betting splits, the 49ers are getting 58% of spread handle, but the Eagles are drawing 68% of moneyline handle. Philadelphia is 4-2 ATS in the last six home games against San Francisco.
It’s the first time in 17 games dating back to 2021 that Philadelphia isn’t favored at home. The Eagles are 3-1-1 ATS this season as the home chalk. San Francisco is 16-4 SU over the past 20 games, but just 2-4 ATS through the last six games.
The under has hit in four of the past five San Francisco at Philadelphia games. Six of Philly’s last seven games when facing a team from the NFC West have also gone under.
Philadelphia is the chalk in the NFL Conference odds at +190. The 49ers are set with second-best odds of +195 in this betting market.
Could 49ers DL Bring Hurts a World of Pain?
A contender in the NFL MVP odds, Philadelphia QB Jalen Hurts is a double threat, as elusive with his feet as he is deadly accurate with his arm. He may need to amplify the former trait to come out ahead in this game.

While San Francisco’s dynamic offense tends to get the majority of the accolades, the defensive front seven of the 49ers is scary good – with emphasis on the scary. Already suiting up two first-rounders in Arik Armstead and three-time Pro Bowler Nick Bosa, San Fran added former Eagles DT Javon Hargrave in the offseason. Then the Niners went out and acquired EDGE Chase Young from Washington at the NFL trade deadline.
The second player chosen in the 2020 NFL Draft, since acquiring Young, San Francisco is averaging five QB sacks per game. Prior to Young’s arrival, the 49ers were collecting 2.25 sacks per game.
San Francisco Healthy at QB
The high hopes that they carried into last season’s NFC title game came crashing down for the 49ers when QB1 Brock Purdy (UCL) and backup Josh Johnson (concussion) were both injured during the game. Purdy is healthy, back at the helm and displaying an NFL-leading 112.3 passer rating.
Former #49ers LB Bill Romanowski talks about a conversation he had with Mike Shanahan on Brock Purdy:
Bill: Mike, what is it about him?
Mike: Bill, the first practice I laid eyes on him, I saw it in him.

San Francisco is the NFL’s #3 scoring offense, putting up 28.2 points per game. By contrast, the Eagles are the league’s #20 scoring defense, permitting 22.4 PPG.
49ers vs Eagles Prediction
The theory for this game seems to be that the Eagles must lose another game at some point. But in the past three weeks they’ve beaten the Cowboys, Chiefs and Bills.
Oddsmakers are giving bettors 2.5 points and the NFL’s #1 SU and ATS team playing at home. You have to take that action.
