For the second week in a row, the Buffalo Bills are the biggest opening favorites in the NFL. The Bills are the 8.5-point road chalk at New England.

As far as the smallest spread is concerned, the Washington Commanders are 1.5-point favorites at the New York Giants, the Jaguars are 1.5-point away picks at the Saints and the Packers are 1.5-point favorites at Denver. A week ago the Giants kicked off with the longest odds as 15-point underdogs to Buffalo, so they’ve shifted from the longest to to the shortest betting line in the span of a week.

The largest over/under is 52.5 points for the Philadelphia Eagles vs the Miami Dolphins, while the lowest total is 40 points for the Falcons vs the Buccaneers.

Jaguars vs Saints Early Odds & Predictions

Straight up or against the spread, New Orleans has dominated this series. The Saints are 5-2 SU and 6-1 ATS.

New Orleans have covered over Jacksonville five games in a row and won outright in the past four meetings. At home, the Saints are 3-0 by SU and ATS all-time against the Jaguars.

Recent history, though, is leaning toward Jacksonville. The Jaguars are 4-2 ATS this season. Meanwhile, New Orleans is among the NFL’s worst at covering the betting line, going 1-4-1 ATS.

At home, the Saints are 0-2 ATS in 2023, while Jacksonville is 1-0 ATS on the road.

Pick: Jaguars -1.5 (-110)

Opening Dolphins vs Eagles Odds & Predictions

Miami has won and covered the last two times that the Dolphins were facing the Philadelphia Eagles. However, the Eagles were 5-1 SU and 6-0 ATS in the six meetings prior to those two games.

Philadelphia is a disappointing 0-1-1 ATS as a home team this season. Miami is 2-1 ATS as an away team. The Dolphins are 3-2 SU and 2-3 ATS in five previous games at Philadelphia.

Pick: Eagles -2.5 (-110)

Expected Week 7 Line Movement

We’re already seeing significant movement on the Bills at Patriots betting line. The odds have shifted a full point from Buffalo -7.5 to Bills -8.5 points.

The pendulum of the series between these AFC East rivals has swung in a completely different direction of late. Buffalo is 5-2 SU and 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings with the Patriots. In the 17 games prior to that stretch, the Bills were 2-15 SU and 6-10-1 ATS against New England.

Buffalo is 3-0 SU and ATS in the last three games played at New England. Before that, the Bills were 2-17 SU and 8-10-1 ATS in 19 games played at Gillette Stadium.

Pick: Bills -7.5 (-110)
