Colorado vs Atlanta Probable Pitchers
There’s not much to be happy about if you’re a Rockies fan this season, but Chase Anderson is one of their lone bright spots. The 35 year old has made eight appearances (six starts), producing a 2.73 ERA in 36.1 innings. He’s struck out 25 and walked just eight batters.
Anderson hasn’t been at his absolute best across the last two outings though, surrendering three earned in each one. On June 13th, he tossed just 4.1 innings after the Red Sox tagged him for three earned. On a more positive note, Anderson has pitched well in his career against the Braves, compiling a 3.38 ERA.
Anderson vs Morton Stats
0-0 | Record | 5-6 |
2.73 | ERA | 3.60 |
36.1 | Innings Pitched | 75 |
25 | Strikeouts | 85 |
8 | Walks | 32 |
At 39 years old, Morton is still trucking along. He owns a 5-6 record and a 3.60 ERA in 13 starts, striking out 85 in 75 innings and issuing 32 free passes. Morton also has a 1.44 WHIP.

In his most recent start, Morton held the lowly Tigers scoreless across 5.2 frames on just four hits. While his ERA shoots above four at home this year, the righty has a 3.89 ERA lifetime versus Colorado.
Rockies Continue to Slide
Another disappointing campaign for the Rockies. Bud Black’s group sits at the bottom of the NL West with a 29-44 record and has lost four in a row. They also have 3-7 record in their last 10 contests.
Colorado was absolutely overmatched Saturday in a 10-2 defeat. Connor Seabold gave up a shocking nine earned runs in three innings, including a Grand Slam to Matt Olson. The offense meanwhile had a mere six hits.
Braves Are Legit
If it wasn’t already common knowledge, the Braves are a force to be reckoned with. They have the best record in the National League and one of the scariest MLB lineups around. Ronald Acuna Jr also just became the first player ever to reach 15 homers and 30 stolen bases in the first 70 games of any season.

The bats erupted Saturday, with Olson setting the tone. Orlando Arcia led the way going 3 for 4, while Eddie Rosario, Austin Riley, and Ozzie Albies all had two hits apiece, too. On the mound, Bryce Elder threw six innings of one-run baseball.
