Finally, the German DFB-Pokal returns after nearly a one-month hiatus. Our Stuttgart vs Eintracht Frankfurt prediction comes from the second semifinal of the week, kicking off on Wednesday afternoon. The winner of the match will go on to play either Freiburg or RB Leipzig on June 3rd at the Olympiastadion Berlin.
All in all, fans know what they are buying into with this match. Currently, these teams are respectively 15th and 9th in the Bundesliga, and would surely both be the underdog in the final. They have had sloppy seasons, but still find themselves within a 180 minutes of a meaningful trophy lift. In turn, expect a tough, gritty match of football between two sides vying to create a redeeming moment in what would be an otherwise unsatisfactory season. Stuttgart vs Eintracht Frankfurt Odds
Matchup | Moneyline Odds |
---|---|
Stuttgart | +130 |
Eintracht Frankfurt | +200 |
Draw | +235 |
Overall, Stuttgart are the marginal favorites at home, with moneyline odds of +130. In other words, they have an implied win probability of 43.4%. These odds are a bit surprising to me, even given the fact that Die Schwaben are without defeat in their last five. On a head-to-head basis, this is a matchup they really struggle in, going 1-4-5 in their last ten versus Eintracht Frankfurt. Undoubtedly, Frankfurt are in a spell of bad form and have some key pieces missing from their defense. Still, I would need to see more value in the Stuttgart moneyline to take a swing at an outright victory.
Another area to look at is the DFB-Pokal futures; Frankfurt have second-best +250 odds to win the cup, while Stuttgart sits all the way back at +650.

Stuttgart vs Eintracht Frankfurt Over/Under
Additionally, Stuttgart vs Eintracht Frankfurt is expected to be on the tame side of the goal tally. The odds for the over on 2.5 total goals sits at -110, while the reverse option is at -125. In their last ten head-to-head matches, the over at this total has hit 60% of the time. Moreover, in their last 20 combined matches in all competitions, the over/under has hit an equal 50% of the time. Frankly, I am not sold one way or the other here, as later-stage cup matches can play out so strangely.
Stuttgart vs Eintracht Frankfurt Props – Kolo Muani to Score
Another play I really favor on the night is Randal Kolo Muani to score. This prop has odds of +200, as he is the second most favored goalscorer on either side. The Frenchman has 20 goals in all competitions this season, scoring at a clip of 0.58 goals per 90 minutes. Moreover, his xG per 90 minutes of 0.41 conveys his lethal finishing ability. He has scored four in his last five for Frankfurt, and should be able to make the net ripple against a Stuttgart defense that has conceded 1.73 goals per match in the Bundesliga.

Stuttgart vs Eintracht Frankfurt Projected Lineups and Injuries
Stuttgart Projected Lineup: Bredlow, Sosa, Anton, Zagadou, Mavropanos, Vagnoman, Endo, Karazor, Fuhrich, Millot, Guirassy
Major Injuries & Absences: Guirassy (questionable),
Eintracht Frankfurt Projected Lineup: Trapp, Knauff, Lens, Hasebe, Tuta, Buta, Sow, Rode, Gotze, Borre, Kolo Muani
Major Injuries & Absences: Kolo Muani (questionable), Sow (questionable), Lindstrom (questionable) N’Dicka, Jakic, Max, Smolcic
Stuttgart Form Inflated By Weak Opponents
It is also important to mention Stuttgart’s recent form. At first glance, it is rather impressive for a side flirting with the German relegation zone. Nonetheless, their last three wins came against Nurnberg, Bochum and Monchengladbach. Those teams are 13th in the 2. Bundesliga, and 16th and 10th in the first division, respectively. A recent draw against Dortmund is their only truly impressive result as of late, which has to be looked at through a Dortmund always choke late in the season lens.

As a result, favor Frankfurt on the night for your Stuttgart vs Eintracht Frankfurt prediction. This team knows the feeling of a big game and have won this cup on five occasions. Even without the likes of Obite N’Dicka at the back, Frankfurt has loads of difference makers.

Stuttgart vs Eintracht Frankfurt Prediction
Overall, I am taking a big risk on Wednesday and favoring the visitors. On top of that, I would bet at least one unit on Kolo Muani to put his name on the scoresheet.
