Mondy marks the beginning of a three-game set between the San Francisco Giants (5-9, 3-5 away) and the Miami Marlins (8-8, 5-5 home) at LoanDepot Park in South Beach. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:40 PM ET.
Since Logan Webb was supposed to start Sunday’s postponed game against the Tigers, he’ll get the ball here instead. The Marlins counter with their best arm so far, Jesus Luzardo.

Miami Marlins | -130 | -1.5 (+160) | Un 7.5 (-105) |

San Francisco vs Miami Probable Pitchers
Webb was just rewarded with a brand new extension a few days ago by the Giants, despite a rather average start to the campaign. The right-hander is 0-3 in three outings, owning a 4.77 ERA in 17 innings pitched. While he’s struck out 22, Webb has been giving up more runs than usual.
Last time out on April 10th, Webb tossed six innings against the Dodgers, allowing four earned runs on six hits, including two homers. In fact, he’s surrendered four long balls already. On a more positive note, the 26-year-old has a 2.55 career ERA vs Miami.
Webb vs Luzardo Stats
0-3 | Record | 2-0 |
4.77 | ERA | 1.93 |
17.0 | Innings Pitched | 18.2 |
22 | Strikeouts | 20 |
3 | Walks | 6 |
Luzardo is absolutely dealing this season, leading the Marlins. He’s 2-0 with a stellar 1.93 ERA in three starts, striking out 20 hitters in 18.2 frames while issuing just six free passes.
Two of Luzardo’s outings have come at home, giving up only one run in 12.2 innings combined. He clearly pitched better at LoanDepot Park. However, Luzardo owns an ERA over five against the Giants.

Giants Looking to End Losing Streak
Not only is San Francisco 3-7 in their last 10 games, but they’ve also dropped three in a row. The Giants lost the finale to the Dodgers on Wednesday before another pair of defeats to the lowly Tigers.

Anthony DeSclafani’s fantastic start on Saturday was wasted as he allowed just two earned in 6.2 innings. But, the bullpen blew it. Miguel Cabrera ultimately walked it off in the 11th with an RBI single to center field.
Marlins Offense Needs to Wake up
Although Miami is currently sitting at .500 baseball, their offense is downright struggling. They’re scoring just 3.3 runs per game which ranks 29th in the big leagues while slashing a mere .252 as a group.

Their inability to produce at the plate reared its ugly head on Sunday, losing 5-0 to the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Marlins mustered up a measly four hits and couldn’t do a thing against Zac Gallen.
Giants vs Marlins Prediction
Webb has a solid track record against Miami and the Giants tend to hit Luzardo well. I’m liking the visitors moneyline.
Pick: Giants moneyline (+110)
