The Roughnecks are currently favored by 3.5 points, in a contest with a total of 41.5 – which is very high for an XFL game. Kickoff is scheduled for 10:30 pm ET at the Sea Dragons Lumen Field in Seattle, WA, with ESPN providing the broadcast coverage.

Roughnecks vs Sea Dragons Betting Splits
Bettors are banking on Houston’s perfect season to continue, but the point spread is actually moving away from them. The Roughnecks opened as 5-point favorites, but big-money bettors have driven that number down.
As of Thursday morning, just 26% of the ATS wagers are backing Seattle, but those bets account for 42% of the spread handle.
Total-wise, the number is up anywhere from one point to two points depending on where you look. The over is 3-1 in Sea Dragons games so far, while two of Houston’s four contests have reached at least 45 points.
Roughnecks vs Sea Dragons Betting Trends
The Roughnecks enter play as the XFL championship odds favorite, and the leader on both sides of the ball. They’ve scored a league-high 122 points while surrendering a league-low 51. Last week they pummelled Orlando 44-16, scoring just five fewer points than the Guardians have all season (49).

Brandon Silvers tossed three touchdown passes to give him a league best 10. He racked up 239 passing yards putting him just shy of the 1,000 mark for the season, while Dejoun Lee punched in two scores on the ground.
Defensively, they held their opponent below 17 points for the fourth straight game. Wade Phillips has this unit firing on all cylinders, as they lead the league in sacks (17) and interceptions (5).
Seattle meanwhile, got its second consecutive win last week downing San Antonio 15-6. Ben DiNucci threw a first-half TD to Juwan Green, and became the first QB to eclipse 1,000 passing yards this season. Morgan Ellison put the game away with a fourth-quarter plunge, while the defense put up their best effort to date.

They held the Brahmas to their lowest point total of the season while racking up four sacks. They yielded just 210 total yards, holding San Antonio to 1.9 yards per carry.
Seattle averages less than 19 points allowed per game, but doesn’t pop in the stats like Houston does. The Sea Dragons have forced a league-low three turnovers, and rank sixth out of eight teams in tackles for loss.
Roughnecks vs Sea Dragons Predictions
Seattle’s struggled to generate turnovers and negative plays against inferior competition than the Roughnecks. No team has managed to slow down Houston’s offense so far, and we should expect another big performance from them tonight.
The Sea Dragons offense on the other hand, has failed to light up the scoreboard, but has moved the ball at will. Seattle leads the XFL in total yards per the XFL stats, as DiNucci and co. have thrived in June Jones’ run-and-shoot offense.
XFL Championship Odds
Player | Odds |
---|---|
Houston Roughnecks | +160 |
DC Defenders | +170 |
St. Louis BattleHawks | +550 |
Seattle Sea Dragons | +800 |
Arlington Renegades | +1000 |
San Antonio Brahmas | +2000 |
Vegas Vipers | +3500 |
Orlando Guardians | +5000 |
The reason their scoring numbers aren’t higher is the result of turnover woes and stalling near the goal line. They’re due for positive regression in both areas.
As good as the Roughnecks’ defense has been, it’s also important to acknowledge they have faced three of the four lowest-scoring teams in the league.
