- Who do the betting odds favor winning in the major categories?
On the eve of the Oscars, the Razzies will continue their long-standing tradition of looking back at the worst in film from the last year when the 2023 installment airs live on Saturday, March 11th on the official Razzies YouTube channel.
The Razzies have served as a fun precursor ahead of the Academy Awards for over 40 years with the winners earning a trophy the same way the winner of an Oscar would. While they aren’t to be taken too seriously, they do have a history of shining light on some of the most hilariously bad pieces of cinema and giving them more exposure than they would have received otherwise.
This year, that honor just so happens to belong to Blonde, which is currently leading in the odds for Best Picture. Other categories include Worst Actor and Worst Actress, which also have odds available.
Ahead of the 2023 Razzies, let’s look at who and what are expected to take home each of the aforementioned awards according to the latest betting odds.
Worst Picture Odds
Film | Odds |
---|---|
Blonde | -140 |
Morbius | -115 |
Good Mourning | +1000 |
Pinocchio | +1200 |
The King’s Daughter | +1200 |

Blonde Favored to Win Worst Picture
Blonde had the potential to be a fascinating look at the life of Marilyn Monroe and enlighten moviegoers on what made her such a beloved icon. Instead, it was labeled an “exploitation” of Monroe and was horribly received by critics.

The Netflix original is the best bet to win the award at -140, though Morbius is not far behind at -115. Morbius could wind up winning for the sole fact that its massive failure at the box office turned it into one of the biggest memes of 2022, but Blonde is truly the worst film of the two and deserves to recognized as such.
Pinocchio and The King’s Daughter were also abysmal but are longshots in the odds at +1200 each.
Worst Actor Odds
Film | Odds |
---|---|
Machine Gun Kelly (Good Mourning) | -130 |
Jared Leto (Morbius) | +110 |
Pete Davidson (Marmaduke) | +900 |
Sylvester Stallone (Samaritan) | +900 |
Tom Hanks (Pinocchio) | +900 |
Machine Gun Kelly Favored to Win Worst Actor
With Morbius coming so close in the odds to winning Worst Picture, it should come as no surprise that the film’s lead star Jared Leto is a heavy favorite in the Worst Actor category at +110. As previously noted, it was a performance so poor that it was actually entertaining in most parts, whereas there isn’t anything redeeming about Machine Gun Kelly’s role in Good Mourning.

The film was written, produced and directed by Kelly, so the blame for the 0% rating it received on Rotten Tomatoes must fall squarely on him. Pete Davidson, Sylvester Stallone and Tom Hanks all find themselves in the running for their respective roles as well, though Kelley is far and away the smart choice for this category.
Worst Actress Odds
Film | Odds |
---|---|
Kaya Scodelario (The King’s Daughter) | -150 |
Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World Dominion) | +200 |
Alicia Silverstone (The Requin) | +450 |
Diane Keaton (Mack & Rita) | +450 |
Kaya Scodelario Favored to Win Worst Actress
Continuing the trend of films nominated for Worst Picture also popping up in other categories is Kaya Scodelario from The King’s Daughter. She’s significantly favored at -150 after failing to bring much of value to her role as Marie-Joesphe and the film itself being considered a massive disappointment, both critically and in the box office.

At +200, Bryce Dallas Howard feels out of place among this year’s batch of worst actresses. Her character was much improved in Jurassic World Dominion compared to the predecessor, but being more well-known than the other nominees increases her odds of winning.
Diane Keaton is a notable name as well but was arguably the best part of Mack & Rita, while Alicia Silverstone in The Requin is bound to fly under the radar. Scodelario’s performance will be tough to top, at least in terms of subpar it was and why she remains the frontrunner to reign supreme for Worst Actress.
