We’re down to the Round of 16 in the Coupe de France, also known as the French League Cup. In one of the most polarizing fixtures of the lot, rivals Marseille and PSG will lock horns Wednesday with a spot in the quarterfinals on the line. The kick-off is scheduled for 3:10 PM ET at Stade Velodrome. Keep reading for the Marseille vs PSG odds.
The hosts currently trail Paris by eight points in the Ligue 1 table and managed to run out as 1-0 winners in the Round of 32 against Rennes on January 20th thanks to a winner from Matteo Guendouzi. As for the visitors, they buried sixth-tier side Pays de Cassel 7-0, with Mbappe scoring five times.

The Coupe de France odds are relatively even here but PSG is slightly favored at +115. Marseille comes back at +225.
Paris won their last meeting with The Olympians last October by a score of 1-0. In fact, they’re unbeaten in five against Marseille, dropping just two points along the way. Are they the best bet in your Marseille vs PSG picks?
Over/Under & Spread
The total in goals is set at 2.5 with the over coming in at -150. The under meanwhile sits at +115, which likely offers more value. The over has only been hit once in the previous four encounters.
Marseille vs PSG Preview
The hosts are the second-most successful club in this competition behind PSG, winning 10 titles and finishing as runners-up on nine occasions. However, it’s been a while since Marseille actually found itself in the depths of the Coupe de France. In 2016, they lost in the final to you guessed it, Paris.

As for current form, Igor Tudor’s side was unbeaten in eight games, notching seven victories during that span. But, Les Minots were humbled on Saturday, suffering a 3-1 defeat to Nice. To keep their Coupe de France dreams alive, they will need to get back to their winning ways Wednesday.
It does help that Tudor will have numerous key players at his disposal, with Alexis Sanchez, Sead Kolasinac, Jordan Veretout, and Ruslan Malinovskyi all expected to return to the starting XI.
Marseille vs PSG Key Stats
14-4-4 (2nd) | Record in Ligue 1 | 17-3-2 (1st) |
43 | Goals Scored | 54 |
20 | Goals Conceded | 17 |
10 | Coupe de France Titles | 14 |
PSG was dealt a crushing blow with Mbappe suffering an injury last week, but the side is still in good shape. They’re now eight points clear at the top of the table and managed to beat Toulouse 2-1 over the weekend, even without Mbappe and Neymar.
Achraf Hakimi and Lionel Messi produced the goods after an early opener from the visitors, both scoring absolute stunners. That’s now back-to-back wins for the Parisiens, who will be hoping to steer clear of bowing out in the Round of 16 in the French Cup for the second straight year. They lost in penalties to Nice in 2022. Nevertheless, PSG is the elite club in the competition, winning a whopping 14 titles.

From a health standpoint, Christophe Galtier welcomes back Neymar for this massive affair, while Sergio Ramos is also available. Plus, Marco Verratti returns after serving a suspension. Defender Presnel Kimpembe remains out though, which is bad news for the backline.

Marseille vs PSG Prediction
This has the makings of a very entertaining match. Marseille is not a side to be taken lightly and they have no shortage of goal-scorers. However, I do think PSG will prevail for our Marseille vs PSG picks, with the likes of Lionel Messi or Neymar providing a moment of brilliance that proves to be the difference-maker.
