After the Green Bay Packers lost to the visiting Detroit Lions to end the regular season on Jan. 8 – and finish their playoff hopes – Aaron Rodgers took a long look around Lambeau Field as he walked off the field. Read on for some thoughts on Aaron Rodgers next team.
Was it his last game with the Packers? It certainly is a possibility, though the 39-year-old quarterback has one more year left on his contract.
There are enough questions surrounding Rodgers’ future that DraftKings has set odds on which team he will play for at the start of the 2023 season. All bets are off if Rodgers retires, which he has said is a possibility.

A Packer Forever?
Rodgers has spent his entire 18-year career with the Packers. He said when he signed his current three-year, $150-million contract that he wanted to retire in Green Bay.
Despite speculation that they might start a rebuild and go with Jordan Love as their starting quarterback in 2023, Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst and coach Matt LaFleur both insist they want Rodgers back.

Rodgers showed slippage this season as his 91.1 passer rating was a career low and his streak of four consecutive Pro Bowls ended. He completed 64.6% of his passes for 3,695 yards and 26 touchdowns with 12 interceptions.
The Packers also started the season with a 4-8 record before winning four games in a row. However, their upset loss to the Lions kept them from reaching the playoffs for the first time since 2018.
The oddsmakers believe Rodgers will be with the Packers if he decides to play another season. They are +150 favorites to be Rodgers’ team in Week 1 in 2023.
Next on the Board
The Las Vegas Raiders are the second choice at +400 followed by the New York Jets at +650.
The Raiders have decided to move on from Derek Carr after nine seasons as their starting quarterback.
Jarrett Stidham started the last two games of the season for the Raiders – the first two starts of his four-year career – and Las Vegas lost both. He completed 45 of 70 passes for 584 yards and four TDs with three picks.
*whispers* "More like Jarrett StidHIM."

Rodgers would give the Raiders a much better shot at contending for the Super Bowl next season after they went 6-11 in 2022.
The Jets seem ready to move on from Zach Wilson as their starting quarterback after he has thrown 15 touchdown passes and 18 interceptions in his first two seasons. Offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur – Matt’s brother – was fired at the end of the season, mainly because of Wilson’s lack of development.
Backup quarterback Mike White has shown flashes of brilliance when he has gotten a chance to play. However, he certainly isn’t on Rodgers’ level.
Play The Chalk
Rodgers can be a drama king at times and there will surely be rumors about him leaving the Packers and finishing his career elsewhere. However, that will turn out to be like the boy who cried wolf.
Deep down, Rodgers loves it in Green Bay and the Packers don’t seem ready to move on from him for at least one more year. Though the +150 line offers little value, Green Bay is the best bit.
