After two thrilling semifinals on Saturday, the point spread for the College Football Playoff Championship Game is large.
Defending champion Georgia has opened as a 13.5-point favorite over TCU. The title game will be played on Jan. 9 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif.
#1 Georgia (14-0) rallied past #4 Ohio State 42-41 in the Peach Bowl semifinal after #3 TCU (13-1) upset #2 Michigan 51-45 in the Fiesta Bowl.

Georgia is a 13.5-point favorite and a -500 choice on the moneyline in the college football odds, giving it an 83.33% implied win probability. TCU has an IWP of 20% as +400 underdogs.

Georgia Pulls Off Big Comeback
Down 21-7 in the second quarter and 38-24 at the end of the third period, Georgia rallied to beat Ohio State on Stetson Bennett’s 10-yard touchdown pass to Adonai Mitchell with 54 seconds left.
The Buckeyes had a chance to pull out the win, but Noah Ruggles missed a 50-yard field goal attempt wide left with three seconds remaining. That sparked a jubilant celebration on the Bulldogs’ sideline.
Bennett completed 23 of 34 passes for 398 yards and three TDs with one interception.

Amari Smith was Georgia’s top receiver with three catches for 129 yards. He had a 76-yard scoring reception with 8:41 to go that drew the Bulldogs within 38-35.
Kenny McIntosh had a team-high 70 yards rushing on just five carries.
Georgia finished with 553 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs needed every yard on a night their vaunted defense surrendered 467 yards.
Georgia is on a 16-game winning streak dating to last season.
TCU Upset Winner
TCU was a touchdown underdog against Michigan but pulled out yet another close victory. Nine of the Horned Frogs’ 13 wins this season have been by 10 points or less.
TCU took a 21-3 lead in the second quarter then continually held off Michigan comebacks. The Wolverines got within 41-38 with 14:13 left but never any closer.
Max Duggan had an erratic passing game, going just 14 of 29 for 225 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. He also ran for two scores.
Quentin Johnson had six receptions for 163 yards and a TD. His biggest play came on the touchdown when he took a short pass and turned it into a 76-yard play that extended TCU’s lead to 48-38.

Senior Emari Demercado stepped up in a big way by rushing for a career-high 150 yards and a TD on 17 attempts. Kendre Miller, TCU’s top rusher, sustained a first-half knee injury.
TCU’s Bud Clark and Dee Winters returned interceptions for touchdowns as the Horned Frogs bounced back from losing to Kansas State in the Big 12 Championship Game.
Georgia vs TCU Injury Report
Georgia: Tight end Darnell Washington (ankle) and outside linebacker Chaz Chambliss (knee) left the game in the second quarter and did not return. Wide receiver Ladd McConkey (knee) played limited snaps and offensive tackle Warren McClendon (knee) was in uniform but did not play.
The school did not provide any updates on those players following the game.
McConkey is the Bulldogs’ second-leading receiver with 53 catches for 674 yards and five touchdowns.
TCU: There was also no update on Miller, who has rushed for 1,399 yards and 17 TDs.
Movement on the Line?
Look for this line to go down a touch between now and game day. Georgia is clearly the better team. However, TCU has shown a propensity for winning close games, which often resonates with bettors.
