The Danes’ last competitive match was in September in the Nations League, beating France 2-0. Les Bleus are their biggest threat in this World Cup pod. The Tunisians meanwhile were humbled in late September by Brazil in a friendly, suffering a 5-1 defeat in Paris.

Denmark vs Tunisia Preview
The Danes might not be considered a favorite in the World Cup, but this side can not be taken for granted. We saw what they were capable of at Euro 2020. After Christian Eriksen’s frightening collapse, Denmark made a heroic run all the way to the semifinals, ultimately losing to England.

Eriksen is now back in top form bossing it up in the Manchester United midfield and leads the nation into Qatar. The Red and Whites were nothing short of spectacular in qualifying for the tournament, finishing atop Group F with a near-perfect record of nine victories and just one loss, scoring 30 goals and conceding a mere three times. The squad isn’t full of star names, but with Eriksen the clear-cut leader, and a nice mix of younger and older talent, they’re capable of brilliance.

The African country of Tunisia is no stranger to competing in the World Cup. This is their sixth appearance in the world’s biggest tournament and second in a row, crashing out in the group stages in Russia four years ago. Jalel Kadri’s men won their pod in the African World Cup Qualifiers, moving on to a playoff against Mali, where the Tunisians won 1-0 on aggregate across two legs.

They actually come into Qatar in rather solid form as well, losing just once in their previous five outings and that was against a Brazilian outfit that is superior to many in the world. Tunisia has never progressed to the Round of 16 and will be looking to do so for the first time.

Denmark vs Tunisia Prediction
The Danes are just simply a stronger side and they’ve been firing on all cylinders ever since Euro 2020. Tunisia doesn’t have a ton of attacking talent that should bother the Danish backline, which is why I see value in them not only winning but also keeping a clean sheet. I mean, Denmark kept France at bay only two months ago.
Pick: Denmark to win & keep a clean sheet +105
