World Cup Golden Boot Prediction
2018 Golden Boot winner Harry Kane is the frontrunner at +800 after bagging six goals in Russia four years ago as England progressed to the semifinals. The Tottenham Hotspur talisman will be key for the Three Lions in the final third and has been firing on all cylinders in the Premier League, already netting 12 times in 15 appearances.
Mbappe is another intriguing name to keep an eye on at +850. Of course, he was the main man behind France’s World Cup triumph, scoring four times in the tournament. The midfield is depleted for Les Bleus, but Mbappe is going to be extremely important up top alongside Karim Benzema.
Lionel Messi has the third-best odds but could be a solid pick to win Golden Boot. He’s thriving at the moment with PSG (seven goals, 10 assists) and is chasing that last elusive trophy with Argentina: The World Cup. Messi is in the form to do damage.

I think it comes down to these three players for the award. England has been playing poorly and I don’t see them getting that far in Qatar. My pick is Messi because not only does Argentina have a manageable group, but I see them going deep into the knockout stages. That’s more chances for Messi to put his brilliance on full display in front of goal.
Pick: Lionel Messi to Win Golden Boot (+1100)

World Cup Golden Ball Odds
Player | Odds |
---|---|
Lionel Messi (ARG) | +750 |
Neymar (BRA) | +1000 |
Kylian Mbappe (FRA) | +1100 |
Kevin De Bruyne (BEL) | +1400 |
Karim Benzema (FRA) | +1400 |
Vinicius Junior (BRA) | +1600 |
Harry Kane (ENG) | +1600 |
Cristiano Ronaldo (POR) | +2900 |
Pedri (ESP) | +3400 |
Memphis Depay (NED) | +4000 |
World Cup Golden Ball Prediction
There’s an argument to be had for a few different players. It’s no surprise to see Messi at the top with +750 odds to also win the Golden Ball. Aside from scoring goals, he’s also a world-class playmaker who is the heartbeat of the Argentine attack.
Neymar (+1000) is another star who is expected to do big things for the tournament favorite in the World Cup odds, Brazil. The PSG standout had eight goals and eight assists in World Cup Qualifying and usually shines for Selecao. Plus, he’s bagged 11 goals and laid on another nine this term in Ligue 1.
🎙️Romario:
“Brazil won in 1994 because the guys understood that they had to play for me. Now, in Qatar, they have to play for Neymar. Neymar has to do what the f*ck he has to do.” pic.twitter.com/yDu7wfbrkM

Belgium isn’t the same force as in the past, but they have arguably the best-attacking midfielder on the planet pulling the strings in the middle of the pitch: Kevin De Bruyne (+1400). The Manchester City star continues to get better and better every year and already made his presence felt in the 2018 edition, scoring a goal and tallying two assists as the Red Devils finished in third. With Romelu Lukaku doubtful to feature in the early stages in Qatar, it’ll be up to De Bruyne to run the show for Belgium in more ways than one.
Brazil’s squad is so, so strong and Neymar is one of their most important players. I think he’ll live up to expectations and win this award.
Pick: Neymar to Win Golden Ball (+1000)

World Cup Golden Glove Odds
Player | Odds |
---|---|
Allison (BRA) | +440 |
Thibaut Courtois (BEL) | +600 |
Manuel Neuer (GER) | +650 |
Emiliano Martinez (ARG) | +700 |
Hugo Lloris (FRA) | +850 |
Unai Simon (ESP) | +850 |
Rui Patricio (POR) | +1400 |
Jordan Pickford (ENG) | +1400 |
Diogo Costa (POR) | +1400 |
Remko Pasveer (NED) | +1800 |
World Cup Golden Glove Prediction
Two of the top keepers in the world headline the list, with Brazil’s Allison at +440, and Thibaut Courtois of Belgium at +600. While it’s been a shaky campaign for Allison with Liverpool, he’s taken home the Premier League Golden Glove honors twice and as previously mentioned, Brazil is the favorite to win it all in Qatar. This is his first World Cup.
Courtois is in solid form for Real Madrid, conceding just 12 goals in 10 appearances while making 26 saves. He’s a veteran for the Red Devils at this point and played an integral part in their run to the semifinals in Russia, ultimately winning the award.
How can you count out Manuel Neuer? He’s a German legend and one of the best keepers to ever grace a pitch. The Bayern Munich man is still a beast in between the sticks and has allowed only 11 goals in 12 outings for the Bundesliga giants in 2022-23. He also took home the Golden Glove in the 2014 World Cup, where Germany beat Argentina in the grand finale.
It might seem like a mediocre pick, but I’m riding Allison. Brazil is that good and he’ll be up for the task in net. Whether Selecao wins it all or crashes out in the latter stages of the knockouts, expect the 30-year-old to make a difference.
Pick: Allison to Win Golden Glove (+440)
