From a look at the odds above, we could be in for a slow-scoring Week 8. As many as four QBs are listed at a total of 0.5 in passing touchdowns. Nobody is listed at more than a 1.5 total.
Best Passing Props to Bet for Week 8
1) Derek Carr over 1.5 passing touchdowns (-125); risk 1 unit at DraftKings Sportsbook
If the Raiders vs Saints game doesn’t produce plenty of points in Week 8, we may be in for some trouble as we’ve included several players from both teams in this week’s Week 8 NFL player props.
We’ll get the ball rolling with Derek Carr. Despite the Raiders putting up 38 points in last week’s win over Houston, Carr only threw for one passing TD. However, he had two the week prior and has thrown for two scores in four of six games this year.
Marshon Lattimore is questionable at cornerback for the Saints and his absence has been felt in the New Orleans secondary.
Kyler Murray only threw for one passing score against New Orleans last week but the Cards still put up 42 points on the scoreboard. The week prior Joe Burrow had three TDs, and the Bengals had 30 points. Before that, Geno Smith also threw for three passing scores and the Seahawks put up 32 points.
The Raiders are third in PPG and I see Carr having plenty of opportunities to throw for multiple scores on Sunday.

2) Matthew Stafford under 260.5 passing yards (-140); risk 1 unit at DraftKings Sportsbook
Matthew Stafford is averaging 262.3 yards per game passing, ranking 13th in total passing yards this season. He’ll be in tough on Sunday to go over his NFL player prop for passing yards against San Francisco’s tenth-ranked passing defense. The 49ers are only allowing 205.3 YPG through the air. Overall, San Fran ranks third in defense.
Patrick Mahomes had a heyday against the 49ers last week throwing for 423 yards and a score. But that was Mahomes. In the weeks prior Marcus Mariota and Baker Mayfield threw for only 129 and 215 yards respectively. The week before that? Well, that was also against the Rams where Stafford was 32/48, 254 yards and one interception — a 24-9 San Fran win. A similar performance would see him fall under this prop number.

Best Rushing Props to Bet for Week 8
1) Raheem Mostert over 66.5 rushing yards (-120); risk 1 unit DraftKings Sportsbook
Raheem Mostert gets the majority of the touches out of the Dolphins’ backfield. Of the 153 carries by running backs, Mostert accounts for 87 of them or 57 percent. Mostert ran for 79 yards last week and finished with 49, 113 and 69 yards in the weeks prior.
The Lions give up 162.8 YPG on the ground, 31st, and have allowed the most touchdowns to running backs on the year at ten. Mostert has only found paydirt though once this season, so I’ll instead back him in his rushing props for Week 8.
#Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert's last 4 games: 63 rushes, 310 yards. 4.92 YPC. 77.5 YPG.
If Mostert averaged 77.5 YPC for the rest of the year he would end the season with 1163 rushing yards. pic.twitter.com/qlQhjSiWXZ

2) Kenneth Walker III over 81.5 rushing yards (-115); risk 1 unit DraftKings Sportsbook
Kenneth Walker is now the OROY favorite. He’s quickly rising up the rushing leader charts, now sitting 14th overall with 411 yards and four touchdowns. He has all four of those touchdowns in his last three games and his yardage counts have read 168, 97 and 88.
The Giants may be 6-1 but they’ve fallen behind in all six of those wins. They’re finding a way to overachieve some of their metrics such as rushing yards against, where they rank 28th, allowing 144.4 YPG.

3) D’Onta Foreman over 66.5 rushing yards (-120); risk 1 unit DraftKings Sportsbook
With Christian McCaffrey out of the mix, D’Onta Foreman had himself a day last week carrying the ball 15 times for 118 yards. He was also 2/2 out of the backfield as a receiver for 27 yards. In his five games prior he had combined for a total of 37 yards. Chubba Hubbard also saw action last week, but his nine carries and 63 yards were still much behind Foreman’s.
Atlanta is stronger against the run (5th) than the pass (32nd), but they’re still the league’s 30th overall ranked defense and rank 24th in points allowed per game.
With Christian McCaffrey gone, the Panthers turn to D'Onta Foreman and Chuba Hubbard at tailback. https://t.co/oPagUfWigb

Among the players expected to go off for big days in receiving yardage on Sunday are Cooper Kupp, Tyreek Hill and Justin Jefferson who are all lined in the 80s and 90s for receiving totals.
Best Receiving Props to Bet for Week 8
1) Tyreek Hill over 6.5 receptions (-150); risk 1 unit at DraftKings Sportsbook
Tyreek Hill is the most-targeted receiver in the NFL right now with 78 targets. In all but Week 3, Hill has seen seven or more targets from Dolphins’ quarterbacks. Five times this season he’s been thrown to 12 or more times. Last week he caught seven of 13 passes for 72 yards. Those seven catches are his lowest output on the year outside of the two catches he had in Week 2.
Against a Lions’ passing defense allowing 249.3 YPG through the air (22nd), Hill should have a field day and exceed his player prop.

2) DeAndre Hopkins over 72.5 receiving yards (-140); risk 1 unit DraftKings Sportsbook
The Vikings are giving up 272 YPG through the air, good for just 28th overall.
DeAndre Hopkins made his return from suspension last week and caught 10/14 passes for 103 yards and the Cardinals won 42-34 over the New Orleans Saints on TNF.
Minnesota is coming off a bye but when we last saw them in action in Week 6 they were allowing both Tyreek Hill (177 yards) and Jaylen Waddle (129) to eclipse the century mark.
Hopkins may not hit the century mark every week but his Week 8 player prop for receiving is set at only 72.5 yards.

3) DJ Moore over 58.5 receiving yards (-110); risk 1 unit DraftKings Sportsbook
The Carolina Panthers are rebuilding. Christian McCaffrey is gone. Robbie Anderson is gone. They were first and third on the Panthers’ receiving yardage list this season. The man between them in second is WR DJ Moore.
The passing offense has to go through someone and that someone will probably be Moore. In last week’s 21-3 win over the Bucs, Moore had season-highs in receptions (7) and yards (69) while also finding the endzone once; the first time he had scored since Week 1.
The Falcons may be 6-1 ATS, but they allow the most yards per game through the air at 306.8. Moore could be in for a big day for himself and his player prop bettors.

4) Terry McLaurin over 4.5 receptions (-120); risk 1 unit DraftKings Sportsbook
Taylor Heinicke got his first start of the season last week and went 20/33 passing in a 23-21 upset win over the Packers. Ten of those 20 catches were split between Terry McLaurin and Curtis Samuel, each catching five each. Both were also targeted eight times.
Both will likely be involved in the passing game again this weekend, but I’ll side with McLaurin, returning to his hometown for this NFL player prop and back him to catch at least passes again.
Terry McLaurin loves home. He loves Indianapolis.
It's going to be a special moment for the @Commanders captain on Sunday running onto the field.

Oddsmakers are predicting the likes of Tony Pollard, Tyreek Hill, Jonathan Taylor and Dalvin Cook to find the endzone, as they’re all odds-on favorites to score in Week 8.
Here’s who I like to find the endzone and why for my Week 8 NFL player props:
- Saquon Barkey anytime touchdown (-155); risk 1 unit at Caesars Sportsbook: This one looks like a no-brainer. The Seahawks allow 26.6 PPG (28th) and allow the third-most rushing yards per game (149.7). Saquon Barkley is the league’s second-leading rusher with 726 yards and four rushing scores.
- Derrick Henry anytime touchdown (-210); risk 1 unit at Caesars Sportsbook: I’m backing Derrick Henry in the touchdown props for much of the same reasons as Barkley. Henry is fourth in league rushing and has found the endzone five times. The Texans are rock-bottom, 32nd in rushing yards allowed and have given up the third-most TDs to running in the league with eight.
- Davante Adams anytime touchdown (+101); risk 0.75 units at Caesars Sportsbook: Davante Adams had eight catches in Week 7, the sixth-most overall last week. While he didn’t find the endzone, he did score twice the week prior and has scored a TD in 4/6 games this season. Both the Raiders and Saints score a lot and get scored on a lot. If this one opens up into a shootout, Adams should have plenty of chances to cash this NFL player prop.
- Alvin Kamara anytime touchdown (-126); risk 0.75 units at Caesars Sportsbook: Much like in the above, I’m banking on points being scored between the Raiders and Saints. The Raiders are allowing 25 PPG (26th) and the Saints 28.6 (31st). Despite missing two games this season, Alvin Kamara still leads New Orleans in rushes and rushing yards and is second in receptions and targets. That oddly hasn’t translated to touchdowns, as Kamara still has zero on the year. But this could be the week that changes.
- Josh Jacobs anytime touchdown (-185); risk 1 unit at Caesars Sportsbook: Josh Jacobs has exploded for 523 combined rushing and receiving yards in the past three weeks to go along with six rushing touchdowns — three last week versus Houston. That should continue in Week 8 versus the Saints who allow the second-most points in the league.
