Remember when the Miami Dolphins were the up-and-coming team to look out for?
That was just a few short weeks ago, but a scary Tua Tagovailoa injury put the skids to that. Now that he’s back, we’re about to see if the Fins can recapture the mojo that made them such a fun story out of the gate.
Their Week 7 opponent is the Pittsburgh Steelers, who themselves are trying to usher in a new era under Kenny Pickett, who’s out of concussion protocols and hoping to keep the momentum going after a monster win over the Buccaneers.
It will definitely be an interesting one Sunday Night, as we break down the NFL player props and share a few of our favorite picks.

In the odds above, Tua Tagovailoa has the highest passing total, while Kenny Pickett is favored to throw less than two touchdowns.
The highest rushing total goes to Raheem Mostert at 63.5 yards, and the highest receiving total is given to Miami’s Tyreek Hill at 78.5 yards.

Prop #1: Tyreek Hill Receiving Yards
I think it’s fair to say Hill is doing just fine with whoever throws him the ball. That’s what all-world speed can do for you.
Last week, the Dolphins’ explosive main threat was all over the field, hauling in 12 balls for 177 yards in a loss to the Dolphins. That was with Teddy Bridgewater under center, and now he’ll reconnect with Tua.
TYREEK HILL ALL ALONE 😱
Miami has responded with 21 unanswered fourth-quarter points.

He’s gone for at least 94 yards receiving in three of the four games Tagovailoa has started, and has averaged better than 11 targets and eight receptions per game this season.
The Steelers ‘ secondary is dinged up, but they weren’t world-beaters to start with. Pittsburgh has allowed the third-most passing yards in the league, and are giving up 7.2 yards per pass attempt, which ranks sixth-worst.
Look for the Cheetah to cruise past this total Sunday.
Pick:Â
- Hill OVER 78.5 receiving yards (-115); 1 unit to win 0.87 units

Prop #2: Najee Harris Rush Yards
The Steelers are desperate to surround Pickett with a functional run game, but they just can’t get Harris going.
Still, this rush total seems a little low, as Harris’ 3.2 yard-per-carry average is buoyed by Pittsburgh’s insistence on pounding the rock, giving him an average of nearly 14 totes per game.

He’s been able to surpass this rush total three times in six games this season, while also coming up just 1.5 yards short of the mark one other time.
Miami’s run defense ranks 10th in the NFL, but they are still surrendering 104.7 yards per game. The math works just in your favor if Pittsburgh gives him 15 carries. If he busts even one 10-yarder, Harris should be able to deliver you a W.
Pick:
- Harris OVER 43.5 rush yards (-110); 1 unit to win 0.91 units

Steelers vs Dolphins Touchdown Scorer Odds
As always, thanks to our good friends at DraftKings were scooping up the latest scoring stats.
Let’s start with the home team, where you might want to target Dolphins’ tight end Mike Gesicki, who has scored at least one touchdown in each of Miami’s last three home dates in October.
Mike Gesicki griddyd all the way to the sideline 😠https://t.co/2vJrDGTUD2
— alex (@highlightheaven) October 16, 2022
For the visitors, Harris has scored a TD in five of the Steelers’ last seven October games. Looking for just a touch more value? Chase Claypool scored the first TD for any Steelers wide receiver this season, and this could be the week George Pickens breaks through.
The talented rookie is a mismatch no matter who covers him, and at those deep plus-odds, he’s a jump ball win away from delivering you a nice payout.
Pick:
- Pickens ANYTIME TD scorer (+320); 1 unit to win 3.2 units
- Overall SNF props record: 9-12, -3.85 units
