As the Arizona Cardinals (2-4, 3-3 ATS) and the New Orleans Saints (2-4, 2-4 ATS) prepare for the NFL Week 7 TNF game, perhaps the best news of all is that traditionally, both of these teams score a lot of points when they face each other.

Considering the last two TNF games – a 12-7 Washington win at Chicago and a 12-9 Indianapolis verdict at Denver, over bettors will be delighted by this news. New Orleans is 5-1 on the total this season. However Arizona is just 1-4-1.

Slow Starts Hurting Cardinals
Arizona has continued to dig holes. The Cardinals have been outscored 89-29 in the first half this season. QB Kyler Murray is struggling, with six TD passes against four interceptions. In two games this season, the Cardinals have failed to score an offensive TD.

Things aren’t faring much better when the Saints have the football. New Orleans has turned the ball over an NFL-high 13 times. QB Andy Dalton has helped in this regard. In three starts, he’s only been picked off once. QB1 Jameis Winston has thrown five interceptions.
Both Teams Riddled With Skill Position Injuries
Everywhere you look on the New Orleans roster, there are ailments. Both starting QB Jameis Winston (back/ankle) and backup Andy Dalton (back) are listing as questionable. Dalton will get the start.
Wide receiver Chris Olave is cleared from concussion protocol and should play. WR Michael Thomas (foot), Jarvis Landry (ankle) and Keith Kirkwood (ankle) are questionable, as are RB Mark Ingram II (knee) and TE Adam Trautman (ankle). LG Andrus Peat (chest) is out. Four backup OL are either questionable or on IR. On defense, both starting CB, All-Pro Marshon Lattimore (abdomen) and Paulson Adebo (knee) are questionable.

Kicker Mat Prater (hip) is questionable, as are LB Dennis Gardeck (ankle) and Zaven Collins (shoulder) and SS Jalen Thompson (hamstring).
Saints vs Cardinals Prediction
It’s difficult to get past the home woes of the Cardinals. If they don’t win this game, a calendar will have passed since Arizona’s last home victory. The Cardinals beat the Houston Texans 31-5 at State Farm Stadium on October 24, 2021.
The Cardinals and Saints got a few similarities at the moment.
Disappointing 2-4 start to the season.
Dealing with a ton of injuries.
Jury still out on the head coach.

Since then they are 0-8 SU and 1-7 ATS on their home field. That includes 0-3 SU and 1-2 ATS this season. However, Arizona is 3-1 SU and ATS in the past four home games against the Saints. All four of those games have also gone over.
- Pick: New Orleans Saints -2 (-110), 1 unit
- TNF record (0-0 ML, 1-4 ATS, 1-0 O/U)
