Kyrgios Upsets Daniil Medvedev
Medvedev will loss his No. 1 spot after falling to Kyrgios in four sets Sunday evening. The Australian went on to win 7-6(11), 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, to extend his record to 4-1 against Medvedev.
"I played Novak and Rafa. They are amazing. Nick [Kyrgios] was at their level in my opinion, in a different style."

On route to the win, Kyrgios went onto hit 20 aces to just seven double faults, with 53 winners, while Medvedev managed 19 unforced errors.
Kyrgios will take on Khachanov in his first quarterfinal appearance at the US Open.
Khachanov Upsets Pablo Carreno Busta
In a unconventional win, Carreno Busta was booed after what looked like he tanked the third set in his fourth round match against Khachanov. Khachanov went on to win 4-6, 6-3, 6-1, 4-6, 6-3.
Despite looking like he was throwing in the towel in the third set, Carreno Busta did go on to win the fourth set, but it wasn’t enough to win the match.

He’ll now compete in his first career US Open quarterfinal appearance, much like his opponent Kyrgios.

Right now, Kyrgios and Khachanov’s head-to-head is sitting at 1-1. Khachanov won their first meeting back in 2019, and Kyrgios won their most recent match at the 2020 Aussie Open. Both matches were played on a hard court.

Kyrgios vs Khachanov Pick
As mentioned, Kyrgios is the heavy favorite heading into this match, and for good reason. So let’s figure out what the best bet will be.
The Aussie’s serve has been a huge asset to his game this tournament, and it was on display against Medvedev. He’s worked consistently on finding ways to improve his game. He used to struggle a bit more on his variety, but that is the part that Khachanov could outshine Kyrgios in.
Khachanov will be able to go head-to-head with Kyrgios, but everything’s pointing to the Aussie moving on. But don’t be surprised if the Russian steals a set in the match.
Best Bet: Nick Kyrgios 3-1 (+265) OR Four Sets (+210)
