- Below are the NASCAR All-Star Race odds and betting trends ahead of Sunday afternoon’s race.
NASCAR travels to Fort Worth, Texas, for their All-Star Race. The race comes from the Texas Motor Speedway. The favorites in the betting odds are some of the best and brightest at the 1.5-mile oval track. Kyle Larson is favored this week with +500 odds in the NASCAR All-Star Race odds. It does seem like another Chevy-versus-Toyota rumble is likely.
This is one week after the AdventHealth 400, where Kurt Busch ran the last stage like his life depended on it and edged out Kyle Larson for the win.
Let’s dig into these NASCAR All-Star Race odds and figure out which drivers are the best bets.

The Kyle Larson Beat Goes On?
NASCAR drivers will run on the 1.5-mile Texas Motor Speedway when the flag drops for the Sunday night race beginning around 8:00 PM ET. This track is a low-wear oval. This is not like Kansas or some of the other intermediate tracks.
Three different drivers have led double-digits at Texas the last three years. Those drivers are Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, and Ryan Blaney. Kyle Larson has led 23.9% of all the laps on intermediate tracks since 2019.
Currently, Larson stands at +500 odds (+450 at Caesars). Teammate Chase Elliott lists at +800 (+700 at Caesars Sportsbook). Some shorter odds exist on Caesars Sportsbook, but every Hendricks Motorsports Racing driver is +1500 or shorter. The top three Joe Gibbs’ drivers are at +1000 or shorter again.
Now, what occurs at Texas on Sunday?
A driver has won the All-Star Race and the championship in the same season 12 times. 7 of those pairings were by @TeamHendrick drivers, including the last two years. Does it happen again in 2022?#AllStarRace #NASCAR https://t.co/jLg5nGYelT

The idea is that Hendrick Motorsports is expected to do well again at Texas. Could a third straight championship come?
NASCAR All-Star Race Recent Winners
Year | Race Winner | Pole Position | Most Laps Led |
---|---|---|---|
2021 | Kyle Larson — Hendrick Motorsports Racing | Kyle Larson — Hendrick Motorsports Racing | William Byron — Hendrick Motorsports Racing |
2020 | Chase Elliott — Hendrick Motorsports Racing | Martin Truex Jr. — Joe Gibbs Racing | Ryan Blaney— Team Penske |
2019 | Kyle Larson — Chip Ganassi Racing | Kevin Harvick — Stewart-Haas Racing | Clint Bowyer — Stewart-Haas Racing |
2018 | Kevin Harvick — Stewart-Haas Racing | Matt Kenseth — Roush Fenway Racing | Kevin Harvick — Stewart-Haas Racing |
2017 | Kyle Busch. — Joe Gibbs Racing | Kyle Larson — Chip Ganassi Racing | Kyle Larson — Chip Ganassi Racing |
The race has gone on at several venues over the past decade. Last year at Texas, Kyle Larson and William Byron dominated the event.
Can Another Hendrick Car Win at Texas?
Sports bettors have seen William Byron and Chase Elliott remain mostly steady in the top-ten all season. The other two Hendrick drivers still are in good position in the NASCAR Cup Series odds. Furthermore, though Larson attracts more attention, Byron and Elliott carry a bit more intrigue with better numbers.

Now, some talked briefly about Alex Bowman at +1500, but next up are the picks and predictions.
NASCAR All-Star Race Predictions & Picks
This 1.5-mile track has seen Joe Gibbs (or Toyota) drivers show some pretty good speed. Could they surprise or more specifically Martin Truex Jr.?
Modeling for the All-Star Main is tough, given the format, but I think Martin Truex Jr. is a value.
Had race-winning speed in Vegas. Finished 6th in Kansas despite 2 speeding penalties.
I have him at 10.1% to win versus 7.7% implied at +1200 at @FDSportsbook.

The weather expects to be relatively tranquil on Sunday night with temperatures in the 60s. The last thing to keep an eye on is drivers like Kevin Harvick (4 for the last 5 in top-tens) and Denny Hamlin. Their ability to drive at Texas could pay dividends even in this much shorter format. Some may be on Tyler Reddick but he has to qualify for the main event.
The stage format is 25-25-25-50 for laps. Overtime cannot be ruled out because of the Next-Gen car.
Here are our best bets:
- Top Pick: Martin Truex Jr. to Win (+1200)
- Other Contenders: Kevin Harvick. (+2000), Ross Chastain (+1000), Kyle Busch (+700), William Byron (+900)
- Longshots: Chase Briscoe (+4000), Bubba Wallace (+4000)
