New York City FC vs CSD Comunicaciones Preview
A date with CSD Comunicaciones may be just what New York City needs to snap out of their slow start to the 2022 MLS season. While the club enjoyed a fast start to their Champions League schedule, outgunning Santos de Guapiles by a 6-0 aggregate score in Round of 16 action, they failed to score while going 0-1-1 in their first two league contests, capped by Saturday’s scoreless draw with Vancouver.
The club could use a resurgence from last season’s leading scorer Valentin Castellanos, who has been held off the scoresheet in three straight outings after scoring 11 times in his previous eight outings.

Los Cremas return to action after posting a stunning 2-0 aggregate win over the Colorado Rapids in CCL Round of 16 action. Overall, Comunicaciones are now undefeated in eight straight outings across all competitions and have kept clean sheets in four of five outings. But while they have defined the standard pros and cons of soccer betting, keeping pace with a high-powered NYCFC offense that has scored 20 times over six home dates may be too much to ask.
The Picks: NYCFC -1.5 (-152); BTTS +150
Seattle Sounders vs Club Leon Preview
Like NYCFC, scoring has come at a premium for the Sounders, who have been blanked in consecutive losses to open the MLS campaign. Indeed, Seattle’s lone victory in 13 dates across all competition since October came in their 5-0 home victory over Honduran side CD Motagua in the Round of 16.
The Sounders will be without Raúl Ruidíaz again tomorrow night against Club León. Jordan Morris: “We miss Raúl (Ruidíaz), but the people that fill in (Fredy Montero and Sam Adeniran) do a great job as well.” Via: @AreaSportsNet and @RaveGreenTV #Sounders pic.twitter.com/my0mYjxIk1

While the Sounders have struggled, Leon have found steady form in 2022, allowing just one goal while compiling a 5-1-0 win-draw-loss record in their past six overall contests. However, the club has endured hard luck in past dates with MLS opponents in CCL action, claiming victory in just one of five all-time meetings. However, Leon did post a 3-2 win over Seattle in the 2021 Leagues Cup Final, and with the Sounders expected to be missing last season’s leading scorer Raul Ruidiaz due to injury, opportunity knocks.
The Pick: Club Leon +240
New England Revolution vs Pumas UNAM Preview
After making a stunning early exit from last season’s MLS playoffs, and inspiring little conference while going winless in a pair of pre-season friendlies, the high-powered Revolution finally got back on track with a narrow 1-0 win over FC Dallas in league action this past weekend.
However, offense remains a concern for the highest-scoring team in MLS last season. Injuries remain a concern, with goalkeeper Matt Turner missing the past two games. And the team’s top two scorers from last season Gustavo Bou and Adam Buksa have so far failed to score in 2022.

The Revolution may be meeting Pumas at just the right time. The Liga MX side is coming off a 3-2 loss to Santos Laguna in league play that marks the first time the club has allowed more than two goals in a losing effort since November. However, Pumas has also been getting steady production from Argentine attacker Juan Dinenno, who has scored four times in five outings including three markers during the club’s 6-3 aggregate win over Deportivo Saprissa in Round of 16 action.
The Pick: OVER 2.5 (+120); BTTS -108
