The Los Angeles Rams are back in the Super Bowl for the second time in four years. Meanwhile, the Cincinnati Bengals are playing in the big game for the first time since 1989.
Both quarterbacks – Matthew Stafford of the Rams and Cincy’s Joe Burrow – are starting their first Super Bowl. LA wide receiver Cooper Kupp has a touchdown catch in every game of this postseason.
The biggest bets on Super Bowl 56 have been much more traditional, as is normally the case. But props also get a ton of action, both game as well as the Super Bowl novelty prop wagers. Player props are also popular plays.
Which players will exceed expectations in this one? Which will underwhelm? As the 49ers and Bengals meet for NFL supremacy, there are plenty of player props worthy of consideration in this game.

Rams wideout Cooper Kupp turned the NFL receiving triple play during the regular season. He led the league in receptions, TD catches and receiving yardage. Kupp is keeping up that pace in the playoffs, with four TD catches in three games.
The Rams are 4-point favorites, with the Bengals vs Rams odds seeing the total set at 48.5.
Blanton Could Be Super Bowl Sleeper
Rams starting tight end Tyler Higbee was placed on IR late Friday. He suffered a sprained left MCL in the NFC Championship Game and won’t play in the Super Bowl. His was the key ailment in the final Rams vs Bengals injury report.

That means backup TE Kendall Blanton could be a major player on Super Bowl Sunday. Often, there are Super Bowl surprises. Green Bay receiver Max McGee wasn’t supposed to play in the first Super Bowl. Sent in to replace the injured Boyd Dowler, he caught the first TD in the history of the game.
In the NFC Championship Game, Blanton caught all five targets aimed his way by Stafford after replacing Higbee for 57 yards. Setting his receiving yards total for this game at a minimal 29.5 yard is the gift that will be giving over bettors a big Super Bowl win.
- Pick: Kendall Blanton over 29.5 receiving yards (-115); 1 unit
Higgins Could Be Key Cog for Bengals
All eyes will be on rookie sensation Ja’Marr Chase, especially considering that connection he and Burrow have going back to their 2019 national championship win together. However, Tee Higgins is the Cincinnati receiver worth paying attention to on Sunday. He’s gone over 100 receiving yards in five of his past nine games.

He went for 96 yards in receptions in the AFC Divisional Round at Tennessee. Higgins followed by up with 103 yards against Kansas City in the AFC title game. His Super Bowl reception yardage total is set at 69.5 yards. Play the over and you’ll be smiling come late Sunday night.
- Pick: Tee Higgins over 69.5 receiving yards (-115); 1 unit

Bengals vs Rams Touchdown Scorer Picks
Kupp has scored in each of LA’s three playoff games. He’s about a safe a bet as there is to score at TD in the Super Bowl.
He has found the end zone in five successive games and in eight of the past nine games. Kupp has caught 25 passes in the postseason, good for 386 yards.

Do you believe in history repeating itself? The last time the Rams played in the Super Bowl, Sony Michel scored the game’s first TD. Granted, he was playing for New England at the time.
Michel scored on two-yard run in New England’s 13-3 win over the Rams in that 2019 Super Bowl game. LA rotates Cam Akers, Darrell Henderson Jr and Michel in the backfield.
With his Super Bowl experience, don’t be surprised in the Rams lean more toward Michel in the big game.
- Picks: Sony Michel to Score First (+1600), 1 unit; Cooper Kupp to Score Anytime (-190), 1 unit
