Cyborg vs Kavanagh Bellator 271 Odds
Cris Cyborg is one of the best female mixed martial artists of all time and is the only fighter in history to be a UFC, Bellator, Strikeforce, and Invicta FC champion.
Since coming over to Bellator she has been dominant and will look to continue her reign against Sinead Kavanagh.
Cyborg vs Kavanagh Recent Fights
Leslie Smith, win by TKO (title fight) | Fight 1 | Katharina Lehner, win by decision |
Arlene Blencowe, win by submission (title fight) | Fight 2 | Olga Rubin, win by TKO |
Julia Budd, win by TKO (title fight) | Fight 3 | Leslie Smith, loss by split decision |
Felicia Spencer, win by decision | Fight 4 | Janay Harding, loss by TKO |
Although Cyborg only made her Bellator debut in January of 2020 she has already nearly run through the entire featherweight division and now has to fight Kavanagh who doesn’t really deserve the shot. She’s just 2-2 in her last four and 3-4 in her last seven while just being 7-4 overall.
Cyborg, meanwhile, has looked unstoppable in Bellator which is why she is such a massive favorite, which shouldn’t be a surprise at this point.
Cyborg vs Kavanagh Stats
36 | Age | 35 |
5’8″ | Height | 5’6″ |
69″ | Reach | 65″ |
3 | Bellator Finishes | 2 |
Kavanagh is known as a striker and striking with Cyborg never goes well. Cyborg has a ton of power and is easily the best striker in the featherweight division. She is very technical and knows how to land big shots on her opponent but not get hit back. But, if she does get hit, she does have a good chin – except against Amanda Nunes – and can take a shot.
Ultimately, Cyborg will be able to piece up Kavanagh and get the TKO win. This fight shouldn’t be competitive at all, and to get better value take Cyborg by KO/TKO or even take a shot at Cyborg in round one or two as this fight won’t last long.
Pick: Cris Cyborg (-2000)
Will Fortune Continue His Winning Ways At Bellator 271?
Tyrell Fortune is one of the top heavyweight prospects in Bellator and now gets a chance to fight Linton Vassell who is a stable of Bellator and is well-known by many fans.
Fortune vs Vassell Recent Fights
Matt Mitrione, win by TKO | Fight 1 | Ronny Markes, win by TKO |
Jack May, win by TKO | Fight 2 | Sergei Kharitonov, win by TKO |
Said Sowma, win by decision | Fight 3 | Valentin Moldavsky, loss by decision |
Jack May, No Contest | Fight 4 | Phil Davis, loss by TKO |
Fortune is a great wrestler and will have a size advantage here as Vassell is a former light heavyweight moving up. Although Fortune will likely look to wrestle, his striking has also gotten better, but expect him to take Vassell down and eventually get the ground and pound TKO.
Odds of -200 are a fair line to play straight up but you could look at Fortune inside the distance or parlay him with Cyborg and Steve Mowry earlier on the main card for -116 odds.
Pick: Tyrell Fortune (-200)
Other Bellator 271 Picks:
- Aaron Pico (-350): Pico should be able to mix in the wrestling and striking to win a decision. However, his chin is a major concern so I wouldn’t lay -350 on him as he does get knocked out and rocked quite often.
- Pam Sorenson (+145): This is a pick’em fight to me so to get plus-money on Sorenson is the way to go as she can make it competitive on the feet and likely get the decision.
- Steve Mowry (-550): Mowry is a legit heavyweight prospect and will find the KO shot early against Cleveland.
