For the first time since February 2020, WWE returns to Saudi Arabia this Thursday, October 21st, for the latest installment of Crown Jewel. The company has a history of going all out for their events in Saudi Arabia, but this upcoming card could be the most promising to date.
Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar will finally face off for the Universal Championship in the night’s main event while Big E defends his newly won WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre. In other action, Edge and Seth Rollins will settle their score inside Hell in a Cell while Becky Lynch puts the SmackDown Women’s Championship up for grabs in a Triple Threat match.
Ahead of Crown Jewel, let’s take a look at the favorites that will emerge victorious in the night’s four biggest bouts, according to the current betting odds.

SmackDown Women’s Championship Odds
Becky Lynch’s heel turn has been fun to follow since SummerSlam, and her rivalry with Bianca Belair over the belt has been a blast. Throwing Sasha Banks into the mix upon her return to TV was only logical considering she never got her rightful shot at the title at SummerSlam, so this Triple Threat is bound to be a barn burner.

The recent WWE Draft made the outcome of this contest even more interesting now that Lynch and Belair are members of the Raw roster with Banks staying on SmackDown. WWE isn’t going to want to keep the SmackDown Women’s title on Monday nights, but with Charlotte Flair still the Raw Women’s champion, it’s likely they’ll simply swap championships like The Street Profits and The New Day lazily did last year.
Thus, on the surface, Banks winning would make the most sense, but Lynch being favored at -250 to Belair’s +200 and Banks’ +325 is because fans recognize it’s too soon for her to be dropping the title. She’s the correct betting choice in this one.
Hell in a Cell Odds
It can be argued that Edge and Seth Rollins have had the best feud in all of WWE this year. They’ve split wins in singles competition dating back to SummerSlam, and it’s only fitting that their heated rivalry culminates inside Hell in a Cell at Crown Jewel.

Of the two, Rollins wrestles far more regularly. Edge has been fairly active since the summer, but it’s unknown if he’ll be sticking around beyond Crown Jewel or if he’ll disappear until WrestleMania season again. Either way, he’s the best bet to win the rubber match against Rollins.
Firmly favored at -550 in the odds, Edge needs his feel-good ending in this storyline, especially after already losing two high-profile matches to Roman Reigns earlier this year. Rollins, meanwhile, can easily absorb the loss and move on without it mattering much.
WWE Championship Betting Outlook
There isn’t a more predictable match on the Crown Jewel card than this one. Big E vs. Drew McIntyre has never been done before, but the timing is terrible with McIntyre headed to SmackDown thanks to the Draft, and the odds of him taking the title with him to Friday nights are super slim.

Speaking of the odds, Big E is the heavy favorite in this match at -800, signifying that fans are of the mindset that him retaining the title is all but guaranteed. It’s possible WWE swerves its audience (as they’re known to do) by having McIntyre win, but seeing as how Roman Reigns is most definitely not leaving SmackDown for Raw, that isn’t a viable option.
Besides, Big E’s reign as WWE champion is just beginning, and this win would further cement his credibility.
Universal Championship Best Bet
Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar is the marquee match the WWE Universe has been heavily anticipating since Reigns became Universal champion back in August 2020 and it’s just now coming to fruition. It would have been best saved for a stage such as SummerSlam, WrestleMania or even Royal Rumble, but there’s no denying it’s an attraction for Crown Jewel.

The Tribal Chief has been dominant over the last year that it’s difficult to imagine his reign coming to an end on this show, let alone to Lesnar. That said, Lesnar shouldn’t be losing his first bout back, either, so it puts WWE in tough position as far as how they go about booking the finish.

Reigns has the slight advantage in the odds at -250 to Lesnar’s +175 odds, but that doesn’t mean he’ll win by pinfall. Rather, look for Lesnar and Reigns to fight to some sort of no contest or disqualification, paving the way for a rematch at a later date.
