Does Page Exact His Revenge?
Douglas Lima and Michael Page fought back at Bellator 221 in May of 2019 in the second round of the welterweight grand prix where Lima won by second-round KO. Since then, Lima went on to win back his welterweight title but lost in his last fight, while Page is on a five-fight winning streak since the loss.
Lima & Page Recent Fights
Yaroslav Amosov, loss by decision (title fight) | Fight 1 | Derek Anderson, win by TKO |
Gegard Mousasi, loss by decision (middleweight title fight) | Fight 2 | Ross Houston, win by decision |
Rory MacDonald, win by decision (title fight) | Fight 3 | Shinsho Anzai, win by KO |
Michael Page, win by KO | Fight 4 | Gianni Melillo, win by KO |
Throughout Page’s career, many have criticized him for not fighting the top welterweight contenders, but since his loss to Lima, he has been calling for this rematch and finally gets it.

“MVP” is known for his flashy striking style, but in the first fight, Lima used leg kicks to slow him down, and then when he dropped him with a leg kick he countered him with a beautiful punch that knocked him out. However, in the fight, Page had success and rocked Lima early.
Lima vs Page Stats
33 | Age | 34 |
6’1″ | Height | 6’3″ |
74.5″ | Reach | 79″ |
10 | Bellator Finishes | 10 |
This is a fascinating fight as Michael Page has said he has the skills to beat Douglas Lima, and he now gets his chance. For Lima, he can derail the hype of Page once again and snap his losing streak as he looks to work his way back to another title shot and a chance to reclaim his welterweight title.

Early on, Page will be using his flashy movement and striking as he does in all of his fights as he looks to catch Lima and knock him out. I do expect Lima to shoot for a takedown early and try and take this fight to the ground as he did in the first fight. However, I do think Page has improved while Lima has been gun shy and isn’t throwing enough volume in his last two fights. If he’s hesitant here, Page will piece him up, which I expect to happen and win a clear-cut decision.
Pick: Michael Page (-110)
Can Borga Pull Off The Upset?
Leah McCourt is on this card and the co-main event for a reason, as if she wins, she will likely earn a title shot against featherweight champion Cris Cyborg. Jessica Borga, meanwhile, is only 3-3 as a pro and is just 1-1 in Bellator.
McCourt & Borga Recent Fights
Janay Harding, win by submission | Fight 1 | Talita Nogueira, loss by decision |
Judith Ruis, win by decision | Fight 2 | Amber Leibrock, win by submission |
Kerry Hughes, win by submission | Fight 3 | Lucie Bertaud, win by TKO |
Hatice Ozyurt, win by TKO | Fight 4 | Shanna Young, loss by TKO |
Leah McCourt is a very good striker and will piece up Borga early, while the American will likely try and take this fight to the ground as that is really her only path to victory. However, I don’t see that happening as McCourt is levels above her on the feet and will earn a TKO win. At -630 in the Bellator 267 odds, McCourt doesn’t offer a ton of value so look for a method of victory prop for her to win inside the distance by TKO.
Pick: Leah McCourt (-630)
Other Bellator 267 Picks:
- Robert Whiteford (-255): Whiteford will mix in his striking and wrestling to control the fight and win a dominant decision.
- Luke Trainer (-450): This is a perfect fight for Trainer to remain undefeated and pick up a KO win to add some hype behind him.
- Tim Wilde (-195): Wilde is the better striker and he should be able to piece up Landu and win a competitive decision.
