The first fight between these two took place at BKFC 6 as Johnny Bedford and Reggie Barnett Jr tested skills for the inaugural BKFC 135 pound title.

This resulted in an instant classic that saw Bedford emerge victorious via unanimous decision in June 2019.

For Johnny Bedford, the chance to regain his gold is at the forefront of his focus here.

Conversely, Barnett Jr seeks out a redemptive victory in this sophomore bid for gold within Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.

Reggie Barnett Jr has put together a three-fight winning streak since the initial Bedford bout.

Barnett Jr’s last outing saw him pick up his biggest name-value victory yet over a decorated former gloved boxing champion in DeMarcus Corley at BKFC 16.

Following the first Barnett Jr fight, Bedford followed that up by finishing the infamous Charles Bennett at BKFC 9.

Johnny Bedford looks to rebound after losing his pair of belts to Dat Nguyen in a closely contested bout at BKFC Knucklemania earlier in the year.

There are many pundits and fans alike that look at this fight as determining not only the top 135-pounder in BKFC. But to determine the number one ranked pound for pound bare-knuckle boxer on the planet presently.

A characterization that both warriors understand per my conversations with both prior to this BKFC 20 main event.

In the end, I think the line is fairly lopsided for this one, but I do favor Bedford. I think this will be a high-level kinetic chess match, and there will be more parity in this rematch than in the first bout.

That being said, I still see the outcome being the same in as far as who gets their hand raised.

Alan Belcher vs Tony Lopez

Alan Belcher is a former UFC veteran who has not competed in mixed martial arts since 2013.

The former middleweight combatant takes off the gloves and will now knuckle up as a heavyweight competitor in his bare-knuckle boxing debut.

Belcher will be testing skills against a man who has collected a myriad of regional MMA belts in Tony Lopez.

Lopez is also a stalwart within bare-knuckle boxing and has been with BKFC since their inaugural show.

Despite his inauspicious 0-2-1 record in BKFC, it’s key to note Lopez has had a pair of bouts with the reigning BKFC/ Police Gazette heavyweight champion Joey Beltran.  Their first fight at BKFC 1 was an absolute classic, and their second bout was another amazing throwdown that was ruled a draw.

Ultimately, I’ve got to go with Belcher here. I think this will be a blood-soaked brawl where Lopez has moments.

But in the end, I see Alan Belcher pulling this one out.
